The winners of the 6th Hollywood Critics Association Midseason Film Awards, presented by the Hollywood Critics Association, were revealed on June 30, 2023, on the association's official Twitter page. [1]
The nominations were announced on June 27, 2023. Air and Past Lives led the nominations with seven each, followed by Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. with six; Asteroid City , BlackBerry , John Wick: Chapter 4 , and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse received three apiece. [1] [2] [3]
Past Lives received the most awards with three wins, including Best Actress (Greta Lee), followed by Air and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse with two wins each; the latter won Best Picture and Best Director. [4] [5] [6]

Greta Jiehan Lee is an American actress. She has appeared in the Netflix comedy-drama series Russian Doll (2019–present) and the Apple TV+ drama series The Morning Show (2021–present). She gained wider recognition for her starring role in the romantic drama film Past Lives (2023).
Danielle Deadwyler is an American actress. She began her career appearing on Atlanta stage, including in the 2009 production of For Colored Girls, and made her screen debut in the 2012 drama film A Cross to Bear. Deadwyler appeared in the primetime series The Haves and the Have Nots (2015–2017), the series P-Valley (2020), the miniseries Station Eleven (2021–2022), and the miniseries From Scratch (2022).
Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, known collectively as the Daniels, are an American filmmaker duo. They began their career as directors of music videos, including ones for "Houdini" (2012) by Foster the People and "Turn Down for What" (2013) by DJ Snake and Lil Jon, both of which earned them nominations at the Grammy Awards.

Kemp Powers is an American filmmaker and playwright. He is best known for his play One Night in Miami and the 2020 film adaptation of the same name, as well as for co-directing the animated films Soul (2020) and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). His screenplay for One Night in Miami... earned him a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination at the 93rd Academy Awards, while his work on Soul made him the first African-American to co-direct a Disney animated feature.

Marcel the Shell with Shoes On is a 2021 American independent live-action/stop-motion animated mockumentary comedy-drama film directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, with a screenplay by Fleischer Camp, Jenny Slate and Nick Paley from a story by Fleischer Camp, Slate, Paley and Elisabeth Holm. It is based on and serves both as a direct stand-alone sequel and prequel to the series of shorts of the same name written by Slate and Fleischer Camp. Slate reprises her voice role as Marcel, an anthropomorphic seashell living with his grandmother Connie. Fleischer Camp, Rosa Salazar, Thomas Mann, Lesley Stahl, and Isabella Rossellini also star. The film follows Marcel, a shell who lives with his grandmother, Connie, after posting a short film online bringing Marcel millions of passionate fans and a new hope of reuniting with his long-lost family.
