Phantom of Inferno is an adult visual novel game created by Nitroplus, directed and written by Gen Urobuchi, distributed in North America by Hirameki International. It came out for PC in Japan in 2000 and was ported for DVD in 2001 and for PS2 in 2003. It was distributed in America as an AnimePlay DVD title in 2002. The story can take either a dark action/drama path or can turn into a romantic drama depending on the choice of the player. A remake for the Xbox 360 console was released in 2012 and ported on PC in 2013.

The first game focuses on devil hunter Dante's mission to avenge the death of his mother, Eva, by exterminating demons. In the process he encounters his long-lost twin brother, Vergil, with whom he has a dysfunctional relationship. As the story progresses, Dante encounter his father's nemesis, a demon emperor, Mundus, who is found to be responsible for the murder of Dante's mother.
Beyond the Boundary is a Japanese light novel series written by Nagomu Torii, with illustrations by Tomoyo Kamoi. The work won an honorable mention in the Kyoto Animation Award competition in 2011. Kyoto Animation has published three volumes since June 2012. Set in Kashihara, Nara, this story follows a young boy named Akihito Kanbara who is an immortal being and half a spirit. After Akihito saved a girl named Mirai Kuriyama from committing suicide, he learned that she is a spirit world warrior their lives become intertwined.

It was originally released on March 4, 2000 as part of the Spring 2000 Toei Anime Fair, alongside Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!. The events of the film take place during the first season of One Piece as the first story arcs, "East Blue Saga".

A second season titled Zombie Land Saga Revenge aired between April and June 2021. An anime film project has been announced.
