ACM Air Charter is a German airline based at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport. In addition to charter flights and aircraft management the airline operates the business aviation terminal and a maintenance facility at its homebase airport.
ACM Air Charter was founded in 1992 in Baden-Baden. One year later in 1993, flight operations commenced. In 1997 the airline moved its headquarters to Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden Airport, where the company now also owns two hangars. It created a second business area with its maintenance department. In 1998 the airline received the approval for line and base maintenance. [2] In the same year the first commercially approved Bombardier Challenger 604 in Germany was put into service, enabling long-haul charter flights.
In 2008 the first ultra-long range business jet was added to the fleet. The Bombardier Global Express XRS allows nonstop transatlantic flights and flights to Asia. The licence to operate the first commercially registered Dassault Falcon 7X in Germany was extended in 2010, adding another ultra-long range jet to the airline’s fleet.
In 2011, ACM Air Charter went into an agreement with Continuum Applied Technology for the implementation of the CORRIDOR Aviation Service Software, an application designed to automate all aspects of the complex maintenance of aircraft. [3]
In 2014 ACM Air Charter received its second Boeing BBJ 2, offering ultra-long haul flights with a modern and high-class business aircraft. [4]
Due to the new Part-NCC regulation, which entered into force in 2016, ACM took over the operation of a non-commercial Embraer Phenom 300 in March 2017. [5]
ACM Air Charter also offers line maintenance services for aircraft of the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737NG family at its home airport. [6]
2022 and 2023 two new Bombardier Global 7500 joined the fleet. With a total of eight Bombardier Global jets ACM Air Charter is the largest supplier of such jets in Central Europe. [7]

A business jet, private jet, or bizjet is a jet aircraft designed for transporting small groups of people, typically business executives and high-ranking associates. Business jets are generally designed for faster air travel and more personal comfort than commercial aircraft, and may be adapted for other roles, such as casualty evacuation or express parcel deliveries, and some are used by public bodies, government officials, VIPs, or even the armed forces.

Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) are versions of Boeing's jet airliners with modifications to serve the private, head of state, and corporate jet market. In 1996, Phil Condit, president of Boeing, and Jack Welch, chairman and CEO of General Electric, sketched out their ideal business jet – a high-performance derivative of the Boeing 737 Next Generation, capable of flying more than 6,000 nautical miles nonstop and offering more cabin space than traditional long-range business jets. The first BBJ, based on the 737-700, rolled out on July 26, 1998; and had its first flight on September 4, 1998.
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is a division of The Boeing Company. It designs, assembles, markets, and sells jet airliners and business jets, and also provides product-related maintenance and training to customers worldwide. BCA operates out of its division headquarters in Renton, Washington, and has more than a dozen engineering, manufacturing, and assembly facilities located throughout the United States and internationally. It includes the assets of the Douglas Aircraft division of the former McDonnell Douglas Corporation, which merged with Boeing in 1997. As of the end of 2021, BCA employed about 35,926 people.
The Bombardier Global Express is a large cabin, 6,000 nmi / 11,100 km range business jet designed and manufactured by Bombardier Aviation. Announced in October 1991, it first flew in October 1996, received its Canadian type certification in July 1998 and entered service in July 1999. Initially powered by two BMW/Rolls-Royce BR710s, it shares its fuselage cross section with the Canadair Regional Jet and Challenger 600 with a new wing and tail.
Privatair SA was a Swiss airline headquartered in Meyrin, which operated business jets as well as scheduled services on behalf of major airlines. In addition the company operated crew and pilot training facilities. PrivatAir SA was a registered air carrier with two air operator's certificates, in Switzerland and through its subsidiary PrivatAir GmbH in Germany. On 5 December 2018, PrivatAir filed for insolvency and ceased operations.
FAI rent-a-jet is a German charter airline based in Nuremberg and operating out of Nuremberg Airport.
Belair, legally Belair Airlines AG, was a Swiss charter airline headquartered in Glattbrugg operating out of Zürich Airport and EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg. It was a subsidiary of Air Berlin and operated under the Air Berlin brand name until 31 March 2017. During the 2017 summer season, it flew on behalf of its sister company Niki and was shuttered by then-bankrupt Air Berlin on 28 October 2017.
Titan Airways is a British charter airline founded in 1988 and based at London Stansted Airport. The carrier specialises in short-notice ACMI and wet lease operations as well as ad-hoc passenger and cargo charter services to tour operators, corporations, governments and the sports and entertainment sectors.
