AMA Fight Club (American Martial Arts) is a mixed martial arts training facility located in Whippany, New Jersey & Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, specialized in training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts & Combat Cardio Kickboxing. A number of fighters who train at AMA have found success in a number of MMA promotions, including the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), [1] and the regional Ring of Combat.

History

AMA Fight Club [2] was founded in 2004 by Mike Constantino. [1] Before opening the AMA facility, Constantino worked as a bodyguard and was also a combative martial arts trainer for law enforcement agencies. [3]

AMA [4] is home to The Ultimate Fighter Season 12's Andy Main and other top UFC fighters.

The American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) is a mixed martial arts gym based in San Jose, California. It is one of the pioneering schools of mixed martial arts (MMA). In 2014, AKA opened the AKA Thailand gym in Phuket, Thailand. Prominent trainers include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master Leandro Vieira, Bob Cook, Derek Yuen, Javier Mendez, and Andy Fong. Within the facility, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling and Boxing classes are taught. Additional programs include conditioning and circuit training with TRX Suspension and Combat Circuit. The AKA is one of the top professional MMA training camps.

Anthony Armand Ferguson Padilla is an American professional mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the Lightweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is a former Interim UFC Lightweight Champion. Ferguson debuted in 2008, and has been with the UFC since he won The Ultimate Fighter 13 in 2011. He is trained in freestyle wrestling, boxing, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, and Wing Chun.

Khabib Abdulmanapovich Nurmagomedov is a Russian former professional mixed martial artist. He competed in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he was the longest-reigning UFC Lightweight Champion ever, having held the title from April 2018 to March 2021. With 29 wins and no losses, he retired with an undefeated record. Nurmagomedov is widely considered to be among the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame on June 30, 2022.

He is the younger brother of UFC fighter Umar Nurmagomedov and a cousin of former UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. As of March 14, 2023, he is #5 in the Bellator men's pound-for-pound rankings.
