Abby Imogen Mavers (born 20 April 1990) is an English actress. She played Dynasty Barry in the BBC One school-based drama series Waterloo Road from 2013 until 2014. [1]

Personal life

She is the daughter of actor Gary Mavers, [7] and the niece of musician Lee Mavers, frontman of The La's. Mavers was in a relationship with her Waterloo Road co-star Tommy Knight for several years. [8]

Barry Barry is a fictional character from the BBC school-based drama series, Waterloo Road, played by Carl Au. He first appears in the eleventh episode of the eighth series entitled, "Bad Boy", broadcast on 3 January 2013. The character is introduced as part of the Liverpudlian criminal Barry family, with his mother Carol Barry, and sisters Dynasty Barry and Kacey Barry. Barry is characterised as a villain who is unfocused and troublesome, but also has a complex personality. The absence of Barry's father has impacted his personality and created a dislike for authority. Au extensively researched troublesome children with absent fathers for his portrayal of the character.

Carl Au is a British actor, dancer, and singer. Having begun his career aged eleven, he appeared in multiple musical productions, before receiving a scholarship at Arts Educational Schools, London, to study acting and musical theatre. While attending the school, he was invited to feature in the Barbara Cook and Friends charity gala show, organised for Barbara Cook's eightieth birthday, and was awarded The Stephen Sondheim Society Prize for Student Performer of the Year, making him the inaugural recipient. After graduating, Au returned to stage productions, primarily in the West End of London.

Lauren Louise McQueen is an English actress. She gained prominence through her role as Lily Drinkwell on the Channel 4 soap opera, Hollyoaks. She also appeared on the CBBC school-drama 4 O'Clock Club as Rachel and on Ordinary Lies as Amelie.
