The Independent Indoor Football Alliance (IIFA) was a professional indoor football league based in the state of Texas. The league played an abbreviated 2009 season punctuated by a number of forfeits. The league grew and had tighter restrictions for 2010 in hopes of better football action. For the 2011 season, the IIFA joined forces with several independent teams.

The 2010 Arkansas Diamonds season was the franchise's eleventh season as a football franchise, first in the Indoor Football League, and only season as the "Arkansas Diamonds". The team, led by head coach Danton Barto, played their home games at the Verizon Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The Diamonds finished the regular season with an 11-3 record and first place in the 2010 Lonestar East Division. The team's playoff run ended with a loss to the Billings Outlaws in the Intense Conference Finals. For the 2011 season, the team relocated to Texas as the Allen Wranglers.
Gerald Dockery is a former American football wide receiver who played four seasons in the Arena Football League with the Texas Terror, Grand Rapids Rampage and Houston ThunderBears. He attended Worthing High School in Houston, Texas. He first enrolled at Arizona Western College before transferring to Eastern New Mexico University. Dockery was also a member of the Calgary Stampeders.

One of twenty-five teams competing in the IFL for the 2010 season, the Abilene, Texas-based Abilene Ruff Riders were members of the Lonestar West Division of the Intense Conference.
