Background

ADDY began playing the guitar at the age of 10, and recorded his first album with the Malaysian band Teacher's Pet (Warner Music) at 16, then Cradle (EMI) two years later. With the release of his first solo album, Rahsia , in 2003, he won the APM award for Best New Solo Artiste in 2004. In 2006, ADDY received the Compass Awards for Best Top Local Malay Pop Song (Mengapa Berdusta), for composer and lyricist.

ADDY revived his band, Cradle , in early 2007. They recorded an album, CERITERA AWAN, and it was released in September 2007. One of the songs, CERITERA AWAN, was chosen to be compiled in SINGAPORE MIDEM 2008 CD. AYU from the album CERITERA AWAN won Best Song Of The Year 2008 at the Anugerah Planet Muzik Awards and CERITERA AWAN won Best Album Of The Year 2008 at the Anugerah Planet Muzik Awards

2008, ADDY recorded and released his first Guitar Instrumental Album DIVINE.

ADDY, born and bred in Singapore, is the first artiste to be endorsed by IBANEZ and DiMarzio in Singapore. He is also endorsed by SWEE LEE Music Company.

ADDY is known as Addy Cradle and Addy Rasidi. ADDY is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, composer, producer, sessionist and teacher. ADDY has his own recording studio called [EDENINC] where he does most of his work.

Career

In 2003, his album Rahsia was released on the MusicZone label. [1]

His third album Transcendence - Legend Of Ryu Wuri was released in 2017. The album came with a booklet which was an Asian folklore inspired. fantasy story. IT brought attention to him as a science fiction writer. [2]

Other artists and session work

He provided guitar on most of the tracks for Shirlyn Tan's album, Newfound Jealousy. He also was the arranger on some of the tracks. [3]

<i>Transkripsi</i> 2006 studio album by Siti Nurhaliza

Transkripsi is the thirteenth studio album from Malaysian pop singer-songwriter Siti Nurhaliza and has been touted as Malaysia's Best Album of 2006. It also hailed as Siti's best album ever. The album was released on 23 April 2006 in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei and at a later time in Indonesia. Siti performed the first single, "Biarlah Rahsia", at the Anugerah Planet Muzik in 2006 which was aired live from Singapore, weeks before the actual release date. The album features of what Siti describes as "the assemble of emotions or feelings which combined as one for as long as we live". The album has sold over 80 thousand copies. The album has been nominated for the Best Vocal Performance in an Album (Female), Best Album Cover and Best Music Video, won Best Pop Album and Best Album at the Anugerah Industri Muzik in 2007.

"Biarlah Rahsia" is a song written and performed by Malaysian pop singer-songwriter Siti Nurhaliza and composed by Melly Goeslaw. The song was released as the first single from her eleventh album, Transkripsi. It earned the Best Song award at the Anugerah Planet Muzik in 2007. Estranged (band)

Estranged is a Malaysian alternative rock band that formed in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur in 2001. Currently comprising vocalist Rich Gimbang, lead guitarist Nor Hanafi and rhythm guitarist Din Hormatov, the band have released three full-length albums: In Hating Memory (2004), Remain Unknown (2008), Anugerah Hidup (2013) and an extended play (EP): Sepenuhnya Vol. 1 (2016). Hujan is a Malaysian indie rock band formed in Kuala Lumpur, in 2005. It was founded by vocalist Noh Salleh and lead guitarist AG Coco. Fans of Hujan are dubbed as Raingers, as the band's name translates to rain in Malay. Despite the lack of love from certain quarters at early stage of the band, Hujan has had some of the most successful breakthrough music in Malaysia.

Bhumiband

Bhumiband is an independent Singaporean Malay band. Formed in 2003, the band consists of lead singers Ard and Awi Rafael, pianist and keyboardist Hang Dimas, drummer Zuher, lead guitarist Athif, bassist Kif, and percussionist Eddy. The band's lineup has remained static during its history, with the only exceptions of the departure of guitarist and co-songwriter Nazri, Ard and Kif in 2005. Hang Dimas would later join the band Hujan in 2008. Awi Rafael also has a successful solo career after Bhumiband. Irfan and Reamie both become official members in 2016.
