Agnes Elisabet Hilden Kittelsen (born 20 May 1980 in Kristiansand) is a Norwegian actress.

Biography

Agnes Kittelsen is known for her role as Anneli in the TV-series Skolen (2004), as the title character's wife Tikken in the 2008 film Max Manus and as Liv Heyerdahl, the wife of Thor Heyerdahl in the film Kon-Tiki . She also starred in the sitcom Dag from 2010 to 2015.

After graduating from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in 2003, she worked at Den Nationale Scene from 2004 to 2006, before starting at the National Theatre in 2007. [1]

She played the witch in the Norwegian 2012 movie Reisen til julestjernen and Vivian in then television adaption of the book The Half Brother that was broadcast on NRK in 2013. [2]

Kittelsen's mother is Finnish. [3]

<i>Kon-Tiki</i> expedition 1947 raft journey from South America to Polynesia

The Kon-Tiki expedition was a 1947 journey by raft across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the Polynesian islands, led by Norwegian explorer and writer Thor Heyerdahl. The raft was named Kon-Tiki after the Inca god Viracocha, for whom "Kon-Tiki" was said to be an old name. Heyerdal’s book on the expedition was entitled The Kon-Tiki Expedition: By Raft Across the South Seas. A 1950 documentary film won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. <i>Max Manus: Man of War</i> 2008 Norwegian biographical war film

Max Manus: Man of War is a 2008 Norwegian biographical war film based on the real events of the life of resistance fighter Max Manus. The story follows Manus from the Winter War against the Soviet Union, through the outbreak of World War II and the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany until peacetime in 1945. The film is based on Max Manus's own books Det vil helst gå godt and Det blir alvor, as well as other accounts and historical documentation. The film stays largely historically accurate, but omits some events, and moves some of the supporting characters around to show them taking part in events in place of others. The production included around 1,800 extras and 2,000 workers behind the cameras.

Journey to the Christmas Star is a Norwegian fairy-tale adventure film from 2012 directed by Nils Gaup. Reisen til julestjernen is a Norwegian fairy-tale adventure film from 1976 starring Hanne Krogh, Knut Risan, and Bente Børsum. The film was the solo feature-film directing début by Ola Solum. It is regularly broadcast by NRK every Christmas Eve.
