Shiyam has a Diploma in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute,Sri Lanka in 2012. [2] Followed by a Postgraduate diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership,in Sri Lanka. He received his Master of Business Administration from NUCB Business School in Japan. [2]
He was the 19th Parliament Member for the Naifaru constituency. [3] He is the deputy leader of the Progressive Party of Maldives,and became the incumbent Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources. [4] [5] [6]
