Born into the prominent Haasan family, she is the daughter of actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika. Shruti Haasan started her career as a playback singer at the age of six in the 1992 Tamil film Thevar Magan. She later made a cameo appearance in her father's Tamil-Hindi bilingual directorial Hey Ram (2000) as a child artist. Haasan's first major appearance was in the Hindi film Luck (2009), in which she played a dual role of a woman avenging her twin sister's death. Kadaram Kondan is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Rajesh M. Selva and produced by Kamal Haasan. The film stars Vikram in the lead role and Akshara Haasan and Abi Hassan in supporting roles. It was shot between September 2018 and January 2019, and released on 19 July 2019, along with its Telugu-dubbed version Mr. KK. It is an official remake of the 2010 French film Point Blank. This film became a box-office hit.
Shruti Haasan is an Indian actress, composer and playback singer who works in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada films. Haasan sang her first song aged just six in her father's Thevar Magan, a composition of Ilaiyaraaja. While in school, Haasan made her singing debut in the Hindi language film Chachi 420, which was directed by her father. Haasan sang the bilingual versions of the title theme "Rama Rama" with her father, in Hindi and in Tamil, for the film Hey Ram. The album from Ilaiyaraaja, which was critically praised, won Haasan accolades for her efforts with Screen India saying that she "has the makings of a good singer, and with some training she should go great guns."
Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming 2024 Indian epic science fiction action film, co-written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Produced by C. Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies, it was shot primarily in Telugu with some scenes reshot in Hindi. Inspired by Hindu mythology, the film is set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD. It stars Prabhas in the titlular role alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
