The Alberta Regional Network also known as the ARN was an electronic networking organization in Alberta that links Alberta Credit Unions with ATB Financial. It was disbanded in 2010, concurrently with the introduction of chip cards in Canada. [1]

Benefits

Customers of ARN members could use credit union and ATB financial ATMs to pay bills, inquire accounts, and deposit money with any other member institution without having to pay fees. [2]

Alberta Social Credit was a provincial political party in Alberta, Canada, that was founded on social credit monetary policy put forward by Clifford Hugh Douglas and on conservative Christian social values. The Canadian social credit movement was largely an out-growth of Alberta Social Credit. The Social Credit Party of Canada was strongest in Alberta, before developing a base in Quebec when Réal Caouette agreed to merge his Ralliement créditiste movement into the federal party. The British Columbia Social Credit Party formed the government for many years in neighbouring British Columbia, although this was effectively a coalition of centre-right forces in the province that had no interest in social credit monetary policies.

ATB is the stage name of André Tanneberger, a German DJ and music producer.

The ATB Financial Classic is a golf tournament on PGA Tour Canada. It was first played in 2007, and was merged with the Edmonton Open in 2010. From 2007 to 2015, it was played at a different course in Alberta each year. From 2016 to 2021, it was played at Country Hills Golf Club in Calgary. In 2022, it moved to Edmonton Petroleum Golf and Country Club in Edmonton. The main sponsor is ATB Financial.

Grow was a private Canadian financial technology company, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia and founded by Kevin Sandhu and Daniel Cowx in 2014. It started as a technology driven online consumer lender. Grow's platform enabled borrowers to obtain a loan, which were then sold to private accredited investors and institutional investors. The company later evolved its business model to partner with banks and credit unions to provide its proprietary technology to power traditional financial services companies' digital presence. On February 10, 2016 Grow announced its first partnership with a Canadian financial institution: First West Credit Union. The partnership enabled members of First West Credit Union to access the range of Grow product offerings directly through the British Columbian financial institution. The announcement with First West was followed on February 25, 2016, by a second partnership announcement with Conexus Credit Union, the largest credit union in Saskatchewan, in order to bring its online lending services to the province.
