Alexis Skyy McFarland is an American reality television personality. She is best known from being on VH1's reality TV shows Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood , Love & Hip Hop: New York and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta . [1] Skyy has received media attention for her relationship with rapper Fetty Wap. [2] [3]

Early life

Skyy was born in Long Island City, New York City to Jamaican parents. She grew up in Wyandanch New York. For a large part of her childhood, her father was absent from her life, and she was raised by her mother and grandmother alongside her brothers. [4] At the age of 18, Skyy met her biological father. [5] She was kidnapped and forced into human trafficking at age 15. [6]

Career

In July 2017, Skyy joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood to co-star with Ray J, Keyshia Cole, and Teairra Mari. [7] [8]

Personal life

Skyy had a two-year relationship with Fetty Wap, [2] which ended in 2016. [3] Their sex tape was leaked after they broke up. [9] She has one child who has hydrocephalus. [10] In 2019, she dated Rob Kardashian. [11]

The song was written by Cole, Gabrielle Nowee, Marcella Araica, and Elijah Blake, with production being handled by Danja and Guitarboy. The song was released for digital download and streaming as the album's second single on August 25, 2017, by Epic Records. An R&B ballad, it is backed by an acoustic guitar and includes a sample of Rose Royce's 1976 single "I'm Going Down". Lyrically, the song discusses a relationship where one partner is putting in more effort than the other. Cole elucidated that the song was inspired by her own experiences in her previous romantic relationships.
