Alison Wiley Rochon (born 11 October 1963) is a Canadian former long-distance runner. She was a World Cross Country runner-up in 1983.

Wiley attended Stanford University and competed collegiately for the Stanford Cardinal track team. She was the 1982 winner of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championship title in the 3000 metres. [1] She won seven NCAA All-American honours, which included a runner-up spot in the 1984 NCAA 5000 metres and three straight second-place finishes at the NCAA Women's Division I Cross Country Championship from 1982 to 1984. She was inducted into the Stanford Cardinal hall of fame in 2006. [2]

Internationally, her greatest success was at the 1983 IAAF World Cross Country Championships where she became Canada's first ever medallist at the competition, taking the silver medal behind Norway's Grete Waitz. As a result, she also led the Canadian women's team to the bronze medals. [3] She also competed at the 1983 World Championships in Athletics that year, coming 15th in the 3000 metres, and participated at the 1981 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. [4] Her sole other international medal was a 3000 m bronze medal at the 1989 Jeux de la Francophonie, finishing a fraction of a second behind Rwanda's Marcianne Mukamurenzi. [5]

She was twice a winner at the Canadian Track and Field Championships, taking the 3000 m title in 1981 and 1988. [6]

Silvana Pereira is a Brazilian former middle and long-distance runner. Her personal best of 1:11:15 hours for the half marathon is the Brazilian and South American record for the event. She was the 1500 m South American silver medallist in 1989 and was the 1993 South American champion in cross country. She had much success at the Ibero-American Championships in Athletics, winning three golds and a silver medal at the competition during her career.

Deborah Dawn "Debbie" Scott-Bowker is a Canadian former middle- and long-distance runner. A three-time Olympian for Canada, she reached the 1500 m final in 1984, and both the 1500 m and 3000 m finals in 1988. She was also a three-time World Championship finalist, reaching the 1500 m and 3000 m finals in 1987, and the 1500 m final in 1991.

Colleen Quigley is an American middle-distance runner, steeplechase specialist and an Olympian from St. Louis, Missouri. She is the current World Record holder in the 4x1500 meters relay. Competing in the 3000 meters steeplechase, she finished 8th at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio and 12th at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing. She was the 2019 US National Indoor Champion in the one-mile event running 4:29.47 to capture the title and was the 2015 NCAA Champion in the 3000 meters steeplechase. In 2023, Quigley announced that she would start competing in triathlon events, but that she still plans to race track and field through 2024.

Paul Donovan (athlete) (born 11 July 1963) is an Irish former long-distance runner. He was the silver medallist in the 3000 metres at the 1987 IAAF World Indoor Championships. He was the number one ranked indoor runner that year. He represented Ireland at the Olympics twice: in 1984 and again in 1992.

Donald Gene Clary Jr. is an American former long-distance runner who competed mainly in 5000 meters and cross country running. He represented the United States at the 1984 Summer Olympics and competed three times at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships, taking a junior title in 1975 and a senior team silver medal in 1980. He was the 3000 meters silver medallist at the 1985 IAAF World Indoor Games.

Galina Zakharova is a Russian former long-distance runner who represented the Soviet Union. Her greatest success came at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships where she was the silver medallist in 1984 close behind winner Maricica Puică. She also won a team title with the Soviet women at the 1982 edition, having finished 18th.

John Barry Nuttall was a British male long-distance runner who competed in track and cross country running. He competed for Great Britain at the 1996 Summer Olympics. He also represented his country twice at the World Championships in Athletics and five times at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. He was a silver medallist at the 1994 IAAF World Cup and a bronze medallist at the 1994 Commonwealth Games.
