"Almost There" is a song written by Randy Newman for Walt Disney Pictures' 49th animated feature film The Princess and the Frog (2009). It was originally recorded by actress and singer Anika Noni Rose in her film role as Tiana. [1] The song was nominated for Best Original Song at the 82nd Academy Awards but lost to "The Weary Kind" from Crazy Heart . [2] "Down in New Orleans", another song from the film, performed by Dr. John (with prologue & finale versions by Rose), was also nominated for the Oscar.
Tiana and her mother Eudora, are at Tiana's restaurant. In the song, Tiana is singing that she is "Almost There" to successfully opening her dream restaurant. During the song sequence, the animation shifts to the same art deco style used in Tiana's picture of her dream restaurant that her father James gave her.
Besides the original English version, Disney Character Voices International released The Princess and the Frog (including the song) dubbed in 41 foreign-language versions of "Almost There".

The Princess and the Frog is a 2009 American animated musical fantasy romantic comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The 49th Disney animated feature film, it is loosely based on the 2002 novel The Frog Princess by E. D. Baker, which in turn is based on the German folk tale "The Frog Prince" as collected by the Brothers Grimm. The film was directed by John Musker and Ron Clements and produced by Peter Del Vecho, from a screenplay that Musker and Clements co-wrote with Rob Edwards. The directors also co-wrote the story with the writing team of Greg Erb and Jason Oremland.

The 57th animated film produced by the studio and the sequel to the 2012 film Wreck-It Ralph, it is directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, written by Johnston and Pamela Ribon from a story by Moore, Johnston, Ribon, Josie Trinidad, and Jim Reardon, produced by Clark Spencer, and executive-produced by John Lasseter, Jennifer Lee, and Chris Williams. John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, and Ed O'Neill reprise their character roles from the first film, and are joined by Gal Gadot, Taraji P. Henson, and Alfred Molina as part of the new cast, as well as Alan Tudyk, who voiced a new character in this film. In the film, Ralph (Reilly) and Vanellope von Schweetz (Silverman) must travel to the Internet to get a replacement for the Sugar Rush cabinet's broken steering wheel and prevent Mr. Litwak (O'Neill) from disposing of the game.

It "is in the style of jazz", while having " a Mardi Gras party sound". The trumpet solos are performed by Terence Blanchard on behalf of his horn-blowing animated alter ego Louis the Alligator.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure is an upcoming log flume attraction at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom in the United States. It is based on Disney's 2009 film The Princess and the Frog. The attraction is scheduled to open in 2024, and will be a redesign of Splash Mountain.
