Amalia Nuril Aqmarina (born 21 July 2001), better known as Amel Carla, is an Indonesian actress, singer and model who began her career as a child actress.

Early life

Amel Carla was born Amalia Nuril Aqmarina on 21 July 2001 in Bontang, East Kalimantan, as the youngest of three children of Qomaruzzaman (b. 1962) and Oktarina Aqmarina. [1] [2] She has an older brother, Ahmad Dekatama (b. 1994), a lawyer, and an older sister, Isnania Nurlintang Aqmarina (b. 1996), a singer. [1] [3] [4] She graduated from the Faculty of Law at University of Indonesia in Depok, West Java in 2023. [5]

Personal life

When transit at Atatürk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, Amel Carla was trapped along with her family after holiday due to attack at the airport in 2016. [6] She published on her Instagram account that she hear an explosion and saw a group of people shouted while holding the Turkish flag. [6]

Amel Carla was rumoured to be in relationship with actor Endy Arfian in 2017, she later said that they was just a bestfriend. [7]

Career

Amel Carla appeared in the comedy soap opera Suami-suami Takut Istri from 2007 until 2010. [1] She made her film debut in Suami-Suami Takut Istri the Movie (2008). [1] She published a song which was written by her sister, Isnania. [1]
