The production was handled by Mars, D'Mile, Yip, Romulus, Reeves, and McCollough II, with the latter four credited as the Stereotypes. It was released to urban adult contemporary radio as the fifth single from the album in the United States on July 5, 2022, by Atlantic Records. The song is a funk, neo soul and R&B ballad about a man who was a player, changing his behavior for a woman with whom he is in love.
