Anette Askvik (born 7 May 1983 in Stavanger, Norway) is a Norwegian songwriter, composer, pianist, and vocalist. She released her first album in 2011 and her second in 2016. She lives in Oslo, Norway, where she writes, records, and runs her record label, Bird.

Early years

After growing up in Stavanger, Norway, she moved to Australia and spent the next three years studying music in Brisbane (2006–2009) [. [1] [ citation needed ]

Works

Askvik recorded her debut album, Liberty, in Oslo with producer Øystein Sevåg. It was released in 2011 on her own label, Bird, which she had formed in 2010.[ citation needed ]. After releasing Liberty, she toured Germany, [2] [3] England, France and the United States. [4]

Since 2011, Askvik worked on her next album. Her first single "Supernova" [5] was released in November 2015, along with a music video.

She composed music for several documentaries for the Norwegian broadcasting corporation channel NRK, including the prize-winning documentary 22.07. [6]

Askivik worked with musicians such as Audun Erlien (bass), Rune Arnesen (drums) og Petter Wettre (saxophone). [7] Askvik's music is a mix of pop and jazz. [8]

Reception

The Norwegian outlet "Musikknyheter.no" wrote that Askvik's music sounds like "a mix between Ane Brun and Beth Gibbons". [9]
Nordic Spotlight, another online publicist focusing on Nordic music, wrote that "There’s a touch of Björk in the vocal mannerisms of Norwegian singer/songwriter Anette Askvik". [10]

Ingrid Søfteland Neset is a Norwegian Classical flautist living in Stavanger (2017). She is the daughter of music teachers guitarist Terje Neset and pianist Anne Leni Søfteland Sæbø, and the sister of the vocalist Anna Søfteland Neset and jazz saxophonist Marius Søfteland Neset. She is known from numerous performances with orchestras like Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and in concerts and recordings with her older brother Marius Neset.

<i>Sas Plus/Sas Pussy</i> 2019 EP by Karpe

Sas Plus/Sas Pussy is the second extended play (EP) by the Norwegian hip hop duo Karpe, composed of rappers Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid and Chirag Rashmikant Patel. It was released on February 22, 2019, through Apen og Kjeften and distributed by Sony Music. The EP follows the duo's fifth studio album Heisann Montebello (2016), and the collaborative EP Mars (2018) with Unge Ferrari and Arif. It features guest vocals from Isah and Emilie Nicolas. Production was handled by Aksel "Axxe" Carlson and Thomas Kongshavn.
