AntarChile is the main holding company of the Angelini Group of Companies, one of the largest conglomerates in South America. This company has major investments in various sectors like industrial, forestry, fisheries and energy.

The origins of AntarChile back to the early 1950s, when arriving in Chile from Italy Gino and Anacleto Angelini brothers and begin to undertake various businesses. In 1956 set in motion Pesquera Eperva Company Ltd. in the Northern Zone, which marks the beginning of the formation of large industrial fishing complex is now a pillar in the regional economy and recognized world leader in its field.[ citation needed ]

In 1986, through Pesquera Eperva Company Ltd. and Pesquera Indo SA Company took control of Petroleos de Chile SA, today Copec

In 1989 the companies split the operational management and investment, and create societies EMPD Investment SA Indomitable and Investment SA and, through them, retain control of the company Petroleos de Chile SA. Later, in 1994 these companies merged with other investment companies Angelini Group Companies, conforming AntarChile

Its main objective is to conduct a wide range of investments, noting especially their participation in forest enterprises, manufacture of timber, fuel distribution, production and distribution of energy, shipping and fisheries.[ citation needed ]

Enel Generación Chile

Enel Generación Chile S.A., formerly known as Endesa Chile and Empresa Nacional de Electricidad, is the largest electric utility company in Chile. It was created as a subsidiary of the state-owned CORFO on 1 December 1943 and was privatized in 1989. As of April 2009, it is owned by Enersis with a 60% stake, which in turn is 61% owned by Endesa International SA, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Spanish Endesa Group. Besides Chile, the Company has investments in Argentina, Colombia and Peru. It also has unconsolidated equity investments in companies engaged primarily in the electricity generation, transmission and distribution business in Brazil. Endesa Chile owns a 51% stake in the controversial HidroAysén project in Aisén Region, which would build 5 hydropower dams on two of Chile's largest wild rivers, the Baker and the Pascua. As of the 17 December 2009, Jorge Rosenblut has been the President of Endesa. Enel has signed a contract to deliver renewable power to SCM Minera Lumina Copper Chile starting in January 2021.

As of August 2020 Chile had diverse sources of electric power: for the National Electric System, providing over 99% of the county's electric power, hydropower represented around 26.7% of its installed capacity, biomass 1.8%, wind power 8.8%, solar 12.1%, geothermal 0.2%, natural gas 18.9%, coal 20.3%, and petroleum-based capacity 11.3%. Prior to that time, faced with natural gas shortages, Chile began in 2007 to build its first liquefied natural gas terminal and re-gasification plant at Quintero near the capital city of Santiago to secure supply for its existing and upcoming gas-fired thermal plants. In addition, it had engaged in the construction of several new hydropower and coal-fired thermal plants. But by July 2020 91% of the new capacity under construction was of renewable power, 46.8% of the total solar and 25.6% wind, with most of the remainder hydro.

The CLH Group's main activity consists of transporting oil products – essentially gasolines, diesels, fuel oils and aviation fuels – from the refineries to the storage facilities the company has distributed across the whole of Spain, where its customers' tank trucks load these products and deliver them to the end consumers.
