Anusree (born 24 October 1990) is an Indian actress who appears in Malayalam films. She made her acting debut in the 2012 film Diamond Necklace and has acted in a number of Malayalam films in female lead roles. [1] [2]

Early life

Anusree was born on 24 October 1990 in Kerala, to father Muraleedharan Pillai, a clerk at the Kerala Water Authority, and mother Shobhana, a housewife. [3] She was brought up in Kamukumchery, Kollam district. [1] She has an elder brother, Anoop. [4] She went to Indira Gandhi Memorial Vocational Higher Secondary School, Manjakala, Kollam. Her passion for acting started from her school days.

Career

Anusree impressed director Lal Jose while he was judging the acting reality show Vivel Active Fair Big Break on Surya TV, [5] in which she was competing, [6] leading to her film debut as Kalamandalam Rajasree in Lal Jose's 2012 film Diamond Necklace . She then appeared in Left Right Left (2013), Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum (2013), and Angry Babies in Love (2014). She had lead roles in the films Ithihasa (2014) and My Life Partner (2014). [7] [8] In 2016 she appeared in Dileesh Pothan's Maheshinte Prathikaaram and as Police ACP Ganga in Priyadarshan's Oppam . She went on to star in films such as Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho (2016), Oru Cinemakkaran (2017), Aadhi (2018), and Panchavarnathatha (2018).

Anusree was initially cast in the female lead role in Pulimurugan (2016), opposite to Mohanlal. Due to poor health she was unable to appear in the film. [9] She later worked with Mohanlal in Priyadarshan's Oppam (2016).[ citation needed ] She also acted in Madhura Raja (2019) opposite to Mammootty. [10]

Pulimurugan is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film directed by Vysakh and produced by Tomichan Mulakuppadam through Mulakuppadam Films and was written by Udayakrishna—half of the duo Udayakrishna and Sibi K. Thomas—in his first independent screenplay. The film stars Mohanlal in the title role, with Jagapati Babu, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Lal, Vinu Mohan, Bala, Noby Marcose and Suraj Venjaramoodu in supporting roles. <i>Oppam</i> (soundtrack) 2016 soundtrack album by 4 Musics

Oppam is a feature film soundtrack for the 2016 film of the same name directed by Priyadarshan and starred Mohanlal in the lead role. The film's six-song soundtrack was composed by 4 Musics, and featured lyrics written by Madhu Vasudevan, B. K. Harinarayanan and Sharon Joseph. The original score was composed by Ron Ethan Yohann in his Malayalam-film debut. The soundtrack album was released on the Satyam Audios label on 17 August 2016. The music was well received by critics and audiences, with the songs "Chinnamma Adi" and "Minungum Minnaminuge" becoming chartbusters.

<i>Pulimurugan</i> (soundtrack) 2016 soundtrack album by Gopi Sunder

Pulimurugan is the soundtrack album for the 2016 film of the same name composed by Gopi Sunder. The soundtrack runs for over ten minutes and has three tracks; a duet sung by K. J. Yesudas and K. S. Chithra, a solo by Vani Jairam, and a theme song by Sunder. The songs feature lyrics written by Rafeeq Ahammed, Murukan Kattakada, and B. K. Harinarayanan. The music album was released on 5 October 2016 in an event held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Kochi.
