The Association Scoute du Togo (A.S.T.), the national Scouting organization of Togo, was founded in 1920, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1977. The coeducational Association Scoute du Togo has 9,727 members as of 2011. [1]

Program

Activities

Work for peace is a major concern for this association and is fundamental to all its work. The national badge contains the dove of peace which symbolizes the emphasis of the association's work.

Community development is another major emphasis of the association. Scouts learn agriculture, cattle breeding, fish farming and other skills at regional Scout Centers. Each of the 27 regions have community development centers.

The World Organization of the Scout Movement is the largest international Scouting organization. WOSM has 172 members. These members are recognized national Scout organizations, which collectively have around 43 million participants. WOSM was established in 1922, and has its operational headquarters at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and its legal seat in Geneva, Switzerland. French Polynesia became an Associate Member of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 2001. Membership in 2001 stood at 793.

Kenya Scouts Association

The Kenya Scouts Association is the national Scouting association of Kenya. Scouting was founded in British East Africa in 1910 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1964. It has 323,929 members.

Scoutisme Béninois

Scoutisme Béninois is the national Scouting organization of Benin. Scouting in Benin started around 1930 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1964 under the previous name Dahomey. Its Girl Guide branch, the Guides du Bénin, is a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

Fédération Burkinabé du Scoutisme

The Fédération Burkinabé du Scoutisme, the national federation of two Scouting organizations in Burkina Faso, was founded in 1943, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1972 under the name of Upper Volta. The coeducational Fédération Burkinabé du Scoutisme has 9,398 members as of 2011.

Les Scouts du Cameroun

Les Scouts du Cameroun is the national Scouting organization of Cameroon. Scouting in Cameroon was started in 1937. The association was founded in 1973 through the merger of five predecessors. Cameroonese Scouting became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1971. The coeducational "Scouts du Cameroun" has 4,561 members as of 2008.

The Fédération du Scoutisme Tchadien, the national federation of two Scouting organizations in Chad, was founded in 1960, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1974. The coeducational Fédération du Scoutisme Tchadien has 14,500 members as of 2011.

Fédération des Scouts de la République démocratique du Congo

The Fédération des Scouts de la République démocratique du Congo (FESCO), the national federation of eleven Scouting organizations of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was founded in 1924, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) first in 1963 and again in 1981. The coeducational Fédération des Scouts de la République démocratique du Congo has 71,486 members as of 2010.

Fédération Ivoirienne du Scoutisme Ivorian scouting organization

The Fédération Ivoirienne du Scoutisme is the national federation of three Scouting organizations of the Côte d'Ivoire. The coeducational Fédération Ivoirienne du Scoutisme has 23,213 members as of 2011.

Fédération Gabonaise du Scoutisme National Scouting federation of Gabon

The Fédération Gabonaise du Scoutisme, the national federation of several Scouting organizations of Gabon, was founded under French Equatorial Africa in 1936, although Scouting appeared years before brought by colonists, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1971. The coeducational Fédération Gabonaise du Scoutisme has 3,809 members as of 2008.

The Firaisan'ny Skotisma eto Madagasikara, the national federation of three Scouting organizations of Madagascar. Scouting in Madagascar was started in 1921 under the auspices of the respective French organizations. The federation was founded in 1959 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1960. The coeducational Firaisan'ny Skotisma eto Madagasikara has 14,905 members as of 2011.

The Bund der Pfadfinderinnen und Pfadfinder (BdP) is the largest non-denominational, co-educational Scout and Guide association in Germany. Through its membership in the Ring deutscher Pfadfinderverbände and in the Ring Deutscher Pfadfinderinnenverbände, it is part of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. Founded in 1976, the association serves about 30,000 members nationwide.

The Éclaireuses et éclaireurs unionistes de France are a Protestant Scouting and Guiding organization in France. The association serves 6,023 members and is affiliated to the Fédération du Scoutisme Français; it is also a member of the Protestant Federation of France.

The Éclaireuses et Éclaireurs israélites de France is a Jewish Scouting and Guiding organization in France. It was founded in 1923 and serves about 4,000 members. The EEIF is a member of the Fédération du Scoutisme Français and of the International Forum of Jewish Scouts.
