The Oxford and Cambridge Cup is the trophy awarded to the winner of the Australian University Championship Men's Eight, and is competed for annually at the Australian University Games or the Australian University Rowing Championships. It is the oldest inter-University competition in Australia. The cup is awarded to the winning men's Eight over a standard 2,000m course.

The Queensland Head of the River refers to two high school rowing regattas in Queensland Australia, one for boys and one for girls. The boys' regatta is held in mid to late March while the girls' regatta is held in late August to early September. Due to the lack of water at Wivenhoe Dam the boys' Head of the River was moved to Hinze Dam for 2006, and was then moved to Lake Kawana on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland the following year. Since the girls require 10 lanes for their regattas, the BSRA Head of the River was held at Hinze Dam from 2005 to 2007. However, due to construction work currently underway to increase the size of the dam, the BSRA Head of the River was also moved to Lake Kawana for the 2008 season. Both the GPS and BSRA competitions moved to Wyralong Dam in 2017 following the opening of the Queensland State Regatta Center the previous year.
Marika Vicziany is a professor of Asian Political Economy at Political and Social Inquiry (PSI), Monash University. She is a Former Director of the Monash Asia Institute at Monash University, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. A PhD from SOAS, University of London, she is an expert in South Asian studies. Her current research interests include regional and human security, rise of India and China and the cultural and religious issues particularly related to Hinduism and Islam.
Captain Trevor Jackson is an Australian technical diver, shipwreck researcher, author and inventor. In 2002 he staged what became known as the "Centaur Dive", which subsequently led to the gazetted position of the sunken Hospital Ship AHS Centaur being questioned. Jackson is the inventor of the 'Sea Tiger' lost diver location system, and an author on the subject of wreck diving.
Peter Politiek jr is a former motorcycle racer from the Netherlands. Peter competed in the Dutch Superbikes and the German IDM Superbikes Championships. In the 2009 season, Peter took his first Dutch Superbikes pole position and win. Peter has been a testrider for Moto73 magazine since 2017.
Mark Cocker is a freestyle wrestler, Ju-Jitsu and Judo player who trains with Bolton Olympic Wrestling Club. Cocker is a British and English freestyle wrestling champion and has competed for England and Great Britain for fifteen years. He is also a 1st Dan black belt in Judo under Steve Pullen MBE and 1st Dan Black Belt in Ju-Jitsu under Professor Trevor Roberts.

Oliver James Martin is a British figure skater and he used to do artistic roller skating. He has won British Championship titles including Senior Men's Solo-Dance for Artistic Roller Skating, and Junior Men's Solo-Dance for Figure Skating. Oliver was ranked 9th in the 2018 World Artistic Roller Skating Championships held in La Vendée, France.
