Avari Hotels International is a Pakistani international hospitality management company which operates five hotel properties in Pakistan, a duo in Dubai, and one in Toronto.

History

Avari Hotels was founded in 1944 by Dinshaw Avari. [1]

Avari Hotels' first location was the Beach Luxury Hotel in Karachi which opened in 1948. Later, the company established the 17-story Avari Tower Hotel with 120 suites in Karachi. [2]

In May 2012, Avari Hotels partnered with Etihad to join the Etihad Guest loyalty program. [3] In 2013, the group announced the launch of a major expansion phase. [4] In 2017, Avari Hotels announced the opening of two 4-star hotels in Multan. [5]

Description

The hotel chain is owned by the Parsi Avari family and which was led by Byram D. Avari who was the Chairman of the group. The hotel chain offers a dedicated toll-free round-the-clock reservations number in Pakistan, 0800-AVARI. For callers from overseas, the number is +92 333 0602743. [6] [7]

Bahauddin Zakaria Express is a passenger train operated daily by Pakistan Railways between Karachi and Multan. The trip takes approximately 16 hours and 5 minutes to cover a published distance of 929 kilometres (577 mi), traveling along a stretch of the Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line. The train named after Abu Muhammad Bahauddin Zakariya, a famous Sufi saint of the Suhrawardiyya order who lived in Multan between 1171 and 1262.

Musa Pak Express is a passenger train operated daily by Pakistan Railways between Multan and Lahore. The trip takes approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes to cover a published distance of 312 kilometres (194 mi), traveling along a stretch of the Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line. The train named after Syed Abul Hassab Musa Pak, a famous Sufi saint who lived in Multan between 1535–1592. It is one of the best train to travel between Lahore and Multan.

Badnaam is a Pakistani grunge band from Lahore, Pakistan. It is the runners up band of Pepsi Battle of the Bands Season 2 in 2017. Formed in 2009, the band has played for numerous shows throughout Pakistan before performing in Pepsi Battle of the Bands. The three-member band consists of Ahmed Jilani, Lala Ahsan (drummer), and Raheem Shahbaz Sunny (bassist). The band also performed the team anthem 'Quetta Kai Kai' for Quetta Gladiators in the 4th Edition of Pakistan Super League. The band gained popularity because of their sufi rock and grunge genre and their combination of a unique performing style and use of strong vocals.
