Economy

Rice, yams, cassava, and maize are just a few of the crops that are grown in the Awka North local government area. Agriculture is also a significant economic factor in the region. In addition to trading, residents of Awka North also engage in fishing in the area's numerous rivers and tributaries. Markets like those in Eke Awka and Aforigwe serve as veritable marketplaces for the exchange of a wide variety of goods and services. [3]

These include Agulu in Aniocha local government area and Ifite-Ogwuari in Ayamelum local government area in Anambra State. Alor is one of the seven communities comprising the Idemili South Local Government of Anambra State in the southeast geopolitical zone of Nigeria. It is surrounded by seven neighbouring towns, namely Oraukwu, Nnobi, Abatete, Ideani, Uke, Adazi Ani and Nnokwa. Alor has several rivers which names in most cases are derived from the major idol of the village touched by the river – Mmili Ezigbo, Mmili Nwangene, Mmili Ọhọsha, Mmili Ideọhwọlọ, Mmili Iyiogwgwu, and Mmili Ọbịaja.

Nnewi North is a Local Government Area in Anambra State, south-central Nigeria. Nnewi is the only town in Nnewi North LGA. It has four villages (sub-towns) that make up the one-town local government, which includes; Otolo, Uruagu, Umudim and Nnewi-ichi. Ugwuoba is the gateway town into Enugu State from southern Nigeria. It is a border town on the bank of Oji River in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. Ugwuoba is for its arable land for agricultural utilities. The town is known for its gas reserves within the gas-rich Anambra Basin, Southeastern Nigeria. There is also the popular Ugwuoba clay deposits that could serve as effective Zinc ion adsorbent. Ugwuoba is rich in cultural and social life activities. Mmaku is a town in the Awgu local government area of Enugu State, Nigeria. The name Mmaku means "Welcomer" or "Embracer". Another derivation comes from the English language, and it means "beauty of wealth."

Omasi is a town located in the Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. Comprising Omasi Agu and Omasi Uno communities, Omasi Agu encompasses Ugbene, Umuata, and Obune-Oshia villages.
