The Bahujan Mukti Party (BMP) is a political party in India launched on 6 December 2012. [1] Pravendra Pratap Singh is National President Bahujan Mukti Party. [2]

Merger proposal with Loktantrik Janata Dal

A merger with Loktantrik Janata Dal (founded on 6 December 2012) was proposed but was called off and was set up as a political wing of All India Backward (SC, ST, OBC) and Minority Communities Employees' Federation (BAMCEF). Bihar elections 2020

As of 2020, the party was preparing for the 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly election for which it formed alliance with former MP Pappu Yadav, Chief of Bhim Army and Azad Samaj Party, Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan to form Progressive Democratic Alliance, but failed to secure any seat. [12] [13]

Uttar Pradesh election 2022

Considered a smaller party in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, [14] the Bahujan Mukti Party has fielded its candidates in some areas including the Mahoba and the Auraiya. [15] [16]

Towards this end, Kanshi Ram founded Dalit Shoshit Samaj Sangharsh Samiti (DS-4), the All India Backwards (SC/ST/OBC) and Minorities Communities Employees' Federation (BAMCEF) in 1971 and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in 1984. Raghuraj Pratap Singh,, commonly known as Raja Bhaiya, is an Indian politician, currently serving as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the 18th Uttar Pradesh Assembly, representing the Kunda assembly constituency of Pratapgarh. He has been elected as an MLA for the seventh consecutive time since 1993 from the same constituency. In 2018, he founded and became the national president of Jansatta Dal Loktantrik party. Singh has held various Cabinet Minister positions in the Government of Uttar Pradesh of both Samajwadi Party and Bharatiya Janata Party administrations.

Dara Singh Chauhan is an Indian politician who represented Madhuban in Uttar Pradesh as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. He was former Cabinet Minister in Yogi Adityanath ministry. The Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) was an unrecognised registered political party in India. It was nationally launched by Sharad Yadav and Ali Anwar in May 2018. The party was formed after Yadav parted ways from Janata Dal (United), due to its alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar. It merged with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on 20 March 2022.

Fareed Mahfooz Kidwai is an Indian politician and a member of 18th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh representing Ram Nagar since March 2022. He is a member of the Samajwadi Party. Kidwai had previously represented Masauli as a member of Bahujan Samaj Party in the 15th, and Kursi in the 16th Uttar Pradesh Assembly as a Samajwadi Party candidate.
