Baillie Walsh is a British film director and screenwriter. [1] [2]

Career

Walsh made his feature-film debut with Flashbacks of a Fool, [3] starring Daniel Craig and Felicity Jones, which he wrote and directed. He has also directed the documentaries Mirror Mirror, Lord Don't Slow Me Down, Springsteen & I, and Being James Bond, a documentary about Daniel Craig's tenure in the role.

Walsh has also created films and advertisements for corporate brands including Levis, Sony, Huawei, Citroën, Versace, Hugo Boss, Cartier, YSL, and Thierry Mugler, and has worked with actors such as Eva Mendes, Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansson, and Anne Hathaway.

He has also directed music videos for artists [4] such as Oasis, Kylie Minogue, New Order, INXS, and Spiritualized.

Other notable works include the hologram installation of Kate Moss [5] for the designer Alexander McQueen, Massive Attack’s ‘Unfinished Sympathy’ video, and the 2018 charity video Malaria Must Die So Millions Can Live. Walsh also directed ABBA Voyage Arena, a concert notable for its use of holographic technology instead of live performance.

ABBA Voyage is a virtual concert residency by the Swedish pop group ABBA. The concerts feature virtual avatars, depicting the group as they appeared in 1979, and utilise vocals re-recorded by the group in a Swedish studio specifically for this show, accompanied by a live instrumental band on stage. The concerts are held in ABBA Arena, a purpose-built venue near the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
