Bakersfield P.D. is an American television sitcom that aired on Fox from September 14, 1993 until August 18, 1994. [1]

Contents

The show was based in the police department of the city of Bakersfield, California. It was shot with naturalistic lighting and without a laugh track. The show's theme song, "Busy Office Rhumba," was written by Mark Mothersbaugh [2] and performed by Brave Combo. [3] [4]

Fox canceled the show after one season, citing low ratings. The cable channel Trio reran the show under its "Brilliant But Cancelled" umbrella.

<i>Family Guy</i> (season 4) Season of television series

The fourth season of Family Guy aired on Fox from May 1, 2005, to May 21, 2006, and consisted of thirty episodes, making it the longest season to date. The first half of the season was included within the volume 3 DVD box set, which was released on November 29, 2005, and the second half within the volume 4 DVD box set, which was released on November 14, 2006. Between 1994 and 1996, a wide-ranging series of network affiliation switches took place in media markets across the United States as the result of a multimillion-dollar deal between Fox and New World Communications which was announced on May 23, 1994. The Fox–New World agreement, which saw twelve stations owned by New World change affiliations to Fox, initiated some of the most sweeping changes in American broadcasting history. This deal, and the ancillary deals that followed, created a domino effect and presented a wide-ranging series of ramifications that have impacted local broadcasting up to the present day.

<i>Chicago</i> (franchise) American television series franchise

The Chicago franchise is a media franchise of American television programs created by Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, produced by Wolf Entertainment, and broadcast on NBC, all of which deal with different public services in Chicago, Illinois.
