Bangladesh Amateur Boxing Federation is the national federation for boxing and is responsible for governing the sport in Bangladesh. [1] Major General AKM Aminul Haque, Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party, is the current chairman of Bangladesh Amateur Boxing Federation. [2]

History

Bangladesh Amateur Boxing Federation was established in 1972. [3] In 2012, it started a national women's boxing competition. [4] In 2020, the Federation announced plans to hold the Bangabandhu International SAFF Junior Boxing Tournament, a seven nations tournament. [5]

Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank is a specialised government owned bank in Bangladesh. The bank was founded to provide financial services to the paramilitary Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party. Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan is the chairman of this bank. The bank has 259 branches across the country under 18 regions. It is one of four specialized banks owned by the government of Bangladesh; the rest are Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Karmasangsthan Bank, and Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank.

The 13 participants will compete for the tournament. The winner of the tournament will earn the slot of playing preliminary round of 2021 AFC Cup.

Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation is the national federation for Kabaddi and is responsible for governing the sport in Bangladesh. Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Director General of Rapid Action Battalion, is the President of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation and General secretary is Addl. IGP of Bangladesh Police Habibur Rahman. DIG of police Mozammel Haque is the joint secretary of the current committee.

The 2020–21 Federation Cup was the 32nd edition of the tournament, the main domestic annual club football competition in Bangladesh organized by Bangladesh Football Federation. The 13 participants is competing in the tournament. The tournament has started on 22 December 2020. The winner of the tournament will earn the slot of playing Qualifying play-off of 2022 AFC Cup.

AKM Aminul Haque is a Major General of Bangladesh Army officer and Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party. He is the chairman of the Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank.

AKM Nazmul Hasan is a major general in the Bangladesh Army who is the incumbent director general of the Special Security Force. Prior to that he was DG of the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB). Prior to that position, he served as director general of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party. He also served as general officer commanding (GOC) of 11th Infantry Division and area commander, Bogura Area.
