The Bangladesh Wushu Federation is the national federation for Wushu and is responsible for governing the sport in Bangladesh. Abdus Sobhan Golap, Member of Parliament, is the president and Md. Dulal Hossain is the general secretary of the federation. [1]

History

Bangladesh Wushu Federation was established in 2007 as the Bangladesh Wushu Association. In 2018, Bangladesh Wushu Association was renamed to Bangladesh Wushu Federation by the National Sports Council. [2]

It is in charge of running the country's men's and women's national teams, as well as the Bangladesh Premier League and various other competitions and tournaments. The BFF was one of founding members of the South Asian Football Federation. It is based at BFF Bhaban, in the Motijheel Thana of the country's capital, Dhaka.

Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup, is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. The teams from the country's premier league and other clubs compete in the tournament while occasionally Indian sides were invited in the past. Most of the matches are played in the country's main football venue Bangabandhu National Stadium. The winners of the tournament earn a slot in the qualifying round of the AFC Cup.

The 2008 Beijing Wushu Tournament was a wushu competition which was held from August 21 to 24, 2008 at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Beijing, China. The 2014 Nanjing Youth Wushu Tournament was a wushu competition which was held from August 22 to 24, 2014 at the Gaochun Gymnasium in Nanjing, China. The name "Nanjing Youth Wushu Tournament" was used to specify that wushu was only an invitational sport at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics and not an official event.

The Asian Wushu Championships is a continental wushu championship hosted by the Wushu Federation of Asia (WFA), the official continental representative to the International Wushu Federation. The competition is open to the 37 member nations of the WFA and their respective national teams. Unlike other continental wushu competitions which are held every two years, the Asian Wushu Championships is held every four years to make way for wushu at the Asian Games.

Wushu Association of India is the governing body of wushu in India. It was established in 1989 by Anand Kacker.
