Barbara De Angelis (born March 4, 1951) [1] is an American relationship consultant, lecturer and author, TV personality, relationship, personal growth adviser and spiritual teacher. [2]

Biography

De Angelis received a Ph.D. in psychology from Columbia Pacific University, a now-defunct and non-accredited (but state-approved) university previously located in San Rafael, California. [3]

De Angelis is known for her books that help people find the right partner. [4] She has written fourteen books in these fields, including the New York Times-bestselling books How to Make Love All the Time,[ citation needed ]Secrets About Men Every Woman Should Know, Are You The One for Me? and Real Moments. [5] [6] [7] Her infomercial "Making Love Work" won an award as Best Infomercial of 1994. She had a short-lived talk show on CBS daytime in early 1991.[ citation needed ]

She was the founder and executive director of the Los Angeles Personal Growth Center [8] [9] and is president of Shakti Communications, Inc.[ citation needed ]

De Angelis was born and raised in Philadelphia, [3] and has been married five times as of 1995. [10] Her spouses have included magician Doug Henning [11] and author John Gray, who, along with De Angelis while they were married, received an unaccredited PhD degree by correspondence from the now-defunct Columbia Pacific University. [12]

St. Irvyne; or, The Rosicrucian: A Romance is a Gothic horror novel written by Percy Bysshe Shelley in 1810 and published by John Joseph Stockdale in December of that year, dated 1811, in London anonymously as "by a Gentleman of the University of Oxford" while the author was an undergraduate. The main character is Wolfstein, a solitary wanderer, who encounters Ginotti, an alchemist of the Rosicrucian or Rose Cross Order who seeks to impart the secret of immortality. The book was reprinted in 1822 by Stockdale and in 1840 in The Romancist and the Novelist's Library: The Best Works of the Best Authors, Vol. III, edited by William Hazlitt. The novella was a follow-up to Shelley's first prose work, Zastrozzi, published earlier in 1810. St. Irvyne was republished in 1986 by Oxford University Press as part of the World's Classics series along with Zastrozzi and in 2002 by Broadview Press.

Perry J. DeAngelis was an American podcaster. He is best known for co-hosting the Skeptics' Guide to the Universe podcast, which he helped found. DeAngelis is known for his and Steve Novella's investigation into Ed and Lorraine Warren's ghost hunting claims. He was also co-founder and executive director of the New England Skeptical Society, and was very active in the skeptical movement and paranormal investigations until his death from scleroderma in 2007. He posthumously contributed to a book, The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe, released in 2018.
