Keith Padgett is an English politician who served as Chief Executive of the Falkland Islands from 2012 to 2016. Before his appointed as Chief Executive,Padgett served as the islands' Financial Secretary from 2008,which was renamed Director of Finance with the implementation of the 2009 Constitution. He also acts as Director of Corporate Resources.
A referendum on political status was held in the Falkland Islands on 10–11 March 2013. A referendum on reforming the electoral system was held in the Falkland Islands on 24 September 2020,after being postponed from 26 March 2020 following the Coronavirus pandemic. Voters were asked if they wanted to replace the two existing electoral constituencies with a single constituency for the whole of the Islands. Although a majority of those who voted supported the change,the required two-thirds majority in both of the islands' constituencies was not achieved.
Richard Andrew Davies is a British-born New Zealand doctor. He is the viceregal consort of New Zealand as the husband of Dame Cindy Kiro,who has been the governor-general since 21 October 2021. Davies previously served as a member of the Falkland Islands Legislative Council from 2005 to 2007,and represented the Falkland Islands at the United Nations Special Committee on Decolonization meetings in 2006 and 2007.
Andrew Keeling is a British politician who has served as Chief Executive of the Falkland Islands since 2021. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Leicester City Council.
