Batchworth was once a hamlet and is now a civil parish and part of Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire. The parish of Batchworth was created on 1 April 2017 consisting of two Three Rivers District Council wards: Rickmansworth Town, and Moor Park and Eastbury. The first election to Batchworth Parish Council was on 4 May 2017. There are eight councillors; four in each ward.

It is owned by Harrow Council and managed by the council with a local group. It was a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest, but was de-notified in the early 1990s.
Rowley Green Common is a six hectare Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Importance Metropolitan for Nature Conservation in Arkley, north London. It is owned by the London Borough of Barnet and according to the Natural England details page it is jointly managed by the Hertfordshire and Middlesex Wildlife Trust and the London Wildlife Trust, but as of August 2015 it is not on the list of reserves of either Trust. It is also registered common land.
Oak Hill Wood is a 10-hectare Local Nature Reserve (LNR) and a Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation Grade I, in East Barnet, London. It is owned by the London Borough of Barnet, and part of it is a 5.5-hectare nature reserve managed by the London Wildlife Trust.
Colney Heath Local Nature Reserve is a 22.5 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Colney Heath in Hertfordshire. It is owned by St Albans City Council and managed by Colney Heath Parish Council. The site was acquired in the 1950s and 1960s, and it is a Hertfordshire Heritage Site.

It is owned by Three Rivers District Council and managed by the council together with the Countryside Management Service and the Friends of Croxley Common Moor. Most of it is a registered common.
Mardley Heath is a 41.1 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Welwyn in Hertfordshire. It is owned by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and managed by the council together with the Friends of Mardley Heath.

Shrubhill Common is a 9.8 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. It is owned and managed by Dacorum Borough Council. The site is common land, and it is part of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Lairage Land is a 4.4 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Watford in Hertfordshire. It is owned and managed by Watford Borough Council.

Marshalls Heath is a 4 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire. It is owned by Wheathampstead Parish Council and managed by the council together with the Friends of Marshalls Heath. It was purchased from The Queen's College, Oxford, in 1966.
Bisley and West End Commons is a 37.2-hectare (92-acre) Local Nature Reserve west of Woking in Surrey. It is part of the 46-hectare (110-acre) Bisley & West End Commons and Reidon Hill nature reserve, which is owned by Surrey County Council and managed by Surrey Wildlife Trust. The site is also part of the Colony Bog and Bagshot Heath Site of Special Scientific Interest, the Thursley, Ash, Pirbright & Chobham Special Area of Conservation and the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area,
Target Hill Park is a 9-hectare (22-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Crawley in West Sussex. It is owned by Crawley Borough Council and managed by the council and Gatwick Greenspace Partnership.

It is part of Wealden Heaths Phase II Special Protection Area for the Conservation of Wild Birds and Broxhead Common is a 41.8-hectare (103-acre) Local Nature Reserve owned and managed by Hampshire County Council.
Shortheath Common is a 59.5-hectare (147-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Bordon in Hampshire. It is also a Local Nature Reserve and a Special Area of Conservation.
