Big Timber is a reality TV series about a timber business on Vancouver Island, Canada. The first season was mostly filmed from September 2019 to January 2020 and first broadcast by the Canadian History channel on 8 October 2020. It has since been purchased and streamed worldwide via Netflix, who helped finance a second season due to its good reception on the streaming platform. The second season was filmed in 2021 and released again on History. The series was also released in its entirety on 18 July 2022 on Netflix. [1] A third season was commissioned during the shooting of season 2, airing in September 2022. [2]

Wenstob Timber Resources

The business at the centre of Big Timber is Wenstob Timber Resources, a limited company whose main site is a sawmill in Sooke. The owner is Kevin Wenstob, who runs it as a family business with his wife, Sarah Fleming, and son Erik. The inventory of equipment includes a barge, a bulldozer, six excavators, eight forklifts, five log loaders, ten logging trucks, a tower yarder and three wheel loaders. [3]

Swamp Loggers is an American reality television series which was originally broadcast on the Discovery Channel, from 2009 to 2012, that follows the crew of Goodson's All Terrain Logging as they log the swamps of North Carolina. Much of the series was filmed in Pender County. The series was later shown in reruns on Quest, part of Discovery Channel operations in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The series is currently shown in reruns on the US Network Quest. In mid 2022 Goodson's All Terrain Logging closed, citing high fuel costs as the reason for closure. The Boss Baby: Back in Business is an American animated comedy streaming television series produced by DreamWorks Animation. It serves as a follow-up to the 2017 film The Boss Baby, loosely based on the book of the same name by Marla Frazee. The series premiered on Netflix on April 6, 2018. The Madera Sugar Pine Company was a lumber company that operated in the Sierra Nevada region of California during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was known for its use of innovative technologies, such as the first log flume and logging railroad in the southern Sierra, and the adoption of the Steam Donkey engine in commercial logging. The company had a significant impact on the region, leading to the founding of several towns, including Madera, Fish Camp, and Sugar Pine, as well as the growth of Fresno Flats and the formation of Madera County. In addition, the company contributed to the agriculture in California in California through its production of wooden shipping boxes and was involved in a U.S. Supreme Court case related to employer obligations.
