Billboard Icon Award

The Billboard Icon Award was established at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards to recognize music singers and contribution. The recipient of the award also performs during the ceremony. In 2021, the Icon Award was included on the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards grew out of the Billboard Music Awards program from Billboard magazine, an industry publication charting the sales and radio airplay success of musical recordings. The Billboard awards are the Latin music industry’s longest running award. The award ceremonies are held during the same week as Latinfest+.

The Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame is a rarely presented honor presented by American magazine Billboard at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. The accolade was established in 1994 to recognize "artists who have achieved worldwide recognition for their work, transcending musical genres and languages". This includes artists who laid the "artistic foundation" for contemporary Latin music. Potential recipients are nominated by Billboard's editorial committee, which decides the merit of each nominee with regards to their contribution to Latin music. Artists chosen to be inducted into the Latin Music Hall of Fame include individuals who exemplify Latin music, are pivotal or iconic pioneers, and whose works are a developmental milestone in the Latin music industry.

The Latin American Music Awards is an annual American music awards show produced by TelevisaUnivision. It is the Spanish-language counterpart of the American Music Awards (AMAs). As with AMAs, the Latin AMAs are determined by a poll of the public and music buyers and is produced by SOMOS Productions. The first Latin AMAs debuted on October 8, 2015, on Telemundo and was hosted by Lucero. The awards were not held in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, they resumed a year later.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">CNCO</span> Latin boy band

CNCO is a Latin American boy band based in Miami, Florida. The group consists of Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez and Zabdiel De Jesús; Joel Pimentel was also a member until his departure in May 2021. They won a five-year recording contract with Sony Music Latin after becoming the winning competitors of the first season of La Banda. The band toured with Ricky Martin. Their debut and second singles "Tan Fácil" and "Quisiera", charted well soon after their debut. They released their first album, Primera Cita, on August 26, 2016, which included the hit "Reggaetón Lento (Bailemos)".

Salomón Villada Hoyos, better known by his stage names Feid and Ferxxo, is a Colombian singer and songwriter. Born in Medellín, Colombia, he has worked with several well-known singers such as J Balvin, Sebastián Yatra, Manuel Turizo, Maluma and Karol G.

The Billboard Latin Music Lifetime Achievement Award is an honor that is presented by Billboard magazine to an artist or a group "an enduring and exceptional career, encompassing artistic and personal contributions that have had a major impact on Latin music worldwide." From 1993 to 2001, the accolade was presented as "El Premio Billboard". The recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award is decided by the Billboard editorial committee. The Lifetime Achievement Award was first given to Morton Gould, the president of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), during the 4th Annual Billboard Latin Music Conference in 1993. Gould was given the accolade for his "contribution to the growth of Latin music in the U.S".

Ángela Aguilar Álvarez Alcalá is a Mexican and American singer. She was born in Los Angeles while her mother was accompanying her father, Pepe Aguilar, on tour. Aguilar gained notable recognition after performing "La Llorona" at the 19th Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2019. Her paternal grandparents are the actors and singers from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre.

<i>KG0516</i> 2021 studio album by Karol G

KG0516 is the third studio album by Colombian singer Karol G. It was released on on March 25, 2021, through Universal Music Latino. Comprising sixteen tracks, the album is primarily a reggaeton record and features guest appearances by Mariah Angeliq, Camilo, Anuel AA, J Balvin, Nathy Peluso, Ozuna, Yandar & Yostin, Juanka, Brray, Ludacris, Emilee, Nicki Minaj, Wisin & Yandel, Nicky Jam, Ivy Queen, Zion and Alberto Stylee.

The Billboard Spirit of Hope is an honor that is presented by Billboard magazine to an artist or a group in recognition of their extraordinary philanthropic and humanitarian contributions beyond their musical work." The accolade was established in 1996 in honor of Selena, who died a year earlier. The recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award is decided by the Billboard editorial committee. The Spirit of Hope Award was first given to Cuban American singer Gloria Estefan.

The 29th Billboard Latin Music Awards ceremony, presented by Billboard to honor the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music, took place on September 29, 2022, at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida. The ceremony was broadcast by Telemundo.
