Bobby Lockwood (born 24 May 1993) is an English actor. He is known for his roles as Mick Campbell in House of Anubis and as Rhydian Morris in Wolfblood . [1] [2] In 2021, he appeared in the BBC medical drama series Casualty as Leon Cook.

Career

In 2006, when he was twelve, Lockwood appeared in the BBC school drama series Waterloo Road . [3] In 2012, he was cast as Mick Campbell in Nickelodeon's House of Anubis . He later left the programme during the second series to star in the CBBC series Wolfblood; [4] [5] for which he won a British Academy Children's Award for Best Performer in 2013. [6] [7] [8] That same year, Lockwood hosted the BAFTA Children's Awards Showcase with Shannon Flynn. [9] In 2014, Lockwood won the BBC athletics series Tumble . [10] [11] In January 2021, Lockwood joined the cast of the BBC medical drama series Casualty as paramedic Leon Cook. [12] [13] He left the series in May of that year. [14]

House of Anubis is a mystery television series developed for Nickelodeon based on the Dutch–Belgian television series Het Huis Anubis. The series was created by Hans Bourlon and Gert Verhulst and premiered on Nickelodeon on 1 January 2011 in the United States and on 25 February 2011 in the United Kingdom. The series is the first series from the network to be filmed outside the United States and the first telenovela-format series for the network. The show aired from 1 January 2011 to 17 June 2013.

<i>Wolfblood</i> British television series

Wolfblood is a fantasy teen drama television series. Created by Debbie Moon, it is a co-production between CBBC and ZDF/ZDFE. The television series revolves around the life of the species known as wolfbloods. They are creatures that have enhanced senses and look like humans but can turn into wolves at will — reminiscent of werewolves — but can also control their transformation during the day as well. They are distinct from werewolves but just like werewolves, their transformation is uncontrolled during a full moon, and they are at their weakest during "the dark of the moon", at a new moon. The television series focuses on their daily life and the challenges that they face to hide their secret. Each series has new characters and concepts.

The Worst Witch is a fantasy drama children's television series. The thirty-fourth series of the British medical drama television series Casualty began airing on BBC One in the United Kingdom on 17 August 2019, one week after the end of the previous series. The series consists of 43 episodes. Lucy Raffety continues her role as series producer, while Simon Harper continues his role as the show's executive producer; this is Raffety's final series as producer, and she was replaced by Loretta Preece. Production on the series was postponed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which also resulted in multiple transmission breaks. A single episode was also pulled due to comparisons between its content and the pandemic; the episode was broadcast as the final episode of the series at a later date. The theme of the series is reflecting how the National Health Service (NHS) is "under pressure", with elements focusing on "the hierarchy of pressure on the doctors". The series is also promoted through multiple trailers.

The thirty-fifth series of the British medical drama television series Casualty began airing on BBC One in the United Kingdom on 2 January 2021. The series consists of 30 episodes, which focus on the professional and personal lives of medical and ancillary staff at the emergency department (ED) of the fictional Holby City Hospital. Loretta Preece continues her role as series producer. Sixteen regular cast members reprised their roles from the previous series and actor Michael Stevenson returned to the serial in episode fourteen as Iain Dean, a paramedic.
