Boxeo de Primera is a boxing television show from Argentina, which is televised during weekend days on the Argentine sports television channel, TyC Sports. [1] [2] The show has been televised continuously since 1994 and is shown internationally live to many countries in the Americas, including Panama and the United States.

The show is telecast almost every Saturday night through the year and on select Friday nights also.

In 2023, the show celebrated its 30th anniversary. [3]

Sportscasters

Silvana Carsetti and Sergio Charito are among the sportscasters who work regularly on Boxeo de Primera. Former 2 time world boxing champion Santos Laciar has also been a commentator, rather irregularly, at Boxeo de Primera. Late in 2021, former professional boxer Martin Antonio Coggi, who himself had been featured fighting at the show, made his debut as a Boxeo de Primera sportscaster.

As of June 2021, Arroyo is ranked as the world's sixth best flyweight by BoxRec and tenth best by The Ring.

She works in Argentina, on a show named Boxeo de Primera, transmitted every Saturday evening to her country and to most countries in the Americas on TyC Sports. She has also done some work for Argentine television show Golpe a Golpe presented by Walter Nelson. She also periodically works in the United States, on Fox Deportes.

Tomas Molinares is a Colombian retired boxer and former WBA welterweight champion of the world. He is remembered mostly for his fight with Marlon Starling and the controversial way in which it ended. Behind on the scorecards, Molinares launched a punch that knocked Starling out, but the punch seemingly landed just after the bell to end round six rang. Viewings of the fight's video, both by officials during a WBA inquest right after the bout and on YouTube showings, prove and have proven inconclusive as far as whether Molinares threw the punch in time or not.

Saul Farah is a Bolivian professional boxer. He is the Bolivian national former Heavyweight boxing champion, having won the title by knocking out 1-0 Romualdo Rivera in the first round on March 13, 2010. He defended the national title 15 times successfully, before losing it on his 16th defense. His nickname is "El Fenix Asesino".

A lightweight, she has been recognized as the interim champion of the world in her division by the World Boxing Association since July 1, 2023, and by the World Boxing Council since December 15, 2023, and ranked by the International Boxing Federation at number 3. An aggressive fighter, her nickname is "La Panterita". A popular performer in Uruguay and in Uruguay's neighboring country of Argentina, Moneo has been featured various times at Argentina's international television boxing show, TyC Sports' Boxeo de Primera. Managed by Pedro Bologna and promoted by Georgina Rivero, Moneo was, as of 2024, the WBA's and WBC's interim women's world lightweight champion.
