Robert "Bob" Braddy Field is a baseball venue in Jackson, Mississippi, United States. It is home to the Jackson State Tigers baseball team of the NCAA Division I Southwestern Athletic Conference. [1] Originally known as Jackson State University Baseball Complex, it was renamed prior to the 2010 season for Jackson State athletic director Robert Braddy. [2] [3] [4] Opened in 2006, the facility has a capacity of 800 spectators. [1] [5]

In addition to Jackson State baseball, the field has hosted events of the Mississippi RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) Program. [6]

It is home to the Alcorn State Braves baseball team of the NCAA Division I Southwestern Athletic Conference. The field is named for Bill Foster, former Negro leagues baseball player, member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, and Alcorn State head baseball coach from 1960 to 1971. The stadium is named for Willie McGowan, head baseball coach from 1972 to 2009. In 38 years as Alcorn State's coach, McGowan won over 700 games. The field and stadium were officially dedicated on September 4, 2010. Plaques commemorating the dedications were added on May 6, 2011.

Ralph McKinzie Field is a baseball venue in DeKalb, Illinois, United States, on the campus of Northern Illinois University (NIU). It is home to the NIU Huskies baseball team of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I as a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The field is named for Ralph McKinzie, former head coach of the program. Built in 1965, it has a capacity of 1,500 spectators.

Amber Jackson is an African-American, former collegiate All-American and retired professional softball player and former college softball head coach. She played for three years with the Bethune–Cookman Wildcats, from 2003 to 2005, before transferring to the Maryland Terrapins for the 2007 season. She is the season and career leader in numerous offense categories for both institutions, and is the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference career leader in hits, triples and runs in three seasons.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference baseball tournament decides the conference baseball championship of the NCAA Division I Southwestern Athletic Conference. The top four finishers in each conference division participate in a two-bracket, double-elimination tournament, most recently played in Birmingham, Alabama, between May 25 and May 29, 2022. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament and, since 2019, to the HBCU World Series.

Daniel Skirka is an American college baseball coach and former shortstop. Skirka is the head coach of the Murray State Racers baseball team.

Robert L. Braddy Sr. is an American college baseball coach who spent 27 years as the coach for Jackson State University.
