Braeview Academy is a secondary school in Dundee, Scotland. Situated on top of a steep hill (brae), it was originally named Whitfield High School. It was damaged in a fire on 11 September 2018, which destroyed around half of the building. Dundee City Council are considered replacing Braeview and nearby Craigie High School with a new school on the site of the former St Saviour's High School. [3]

Whitfield is a residential, social-housing scheme located to the north of Dundee, Scotland. Building of scheme commenced in the 1960s to accommodate Dundee's expanding population. Much of the housing was low rise, deck access flats, innovative for the time, built using the "Skarne" prefabrication system. The construction of the northernmost parts of the scheme, which were almost-exclusively Skarne blocks, continued into the early 1970s.

Barony of Craigie

The Barony of Craigie is a Scottish feudal Crown barony within and near Dundee in Scotland. Craigie has long been incorporated within the boundaries of the Royal Burgh of Dundee; before that it was a barony lying on the periphery of the town.
