Brazil competed in the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru from July 26 to August 11, 2019. [1] [2]

Contents

On July 25, 2019, it was announced that, for the first time in the history of the Pan American Games, a nation would have two flag bearers during the opening ceremony. The indicated were Brazilian 49er FX class sailors Martine Grael and Kahena Kunze. [3]

In 2019, Brazil pulled off its best performance in history, winning 54 gold and 169 overall medals, and finishing second in the standings for the first time since they hosted the competition in 1963. [4]

Brazil competed in the 2015 Pan American Games in Hamilton, Canada from July 10 to 26, 2015. The Brazilian Olympic Committee selected a team of 590 athletes, 314 men and 276 women. This is the 17th appearance of the country in the Pan American Games. Jaqueline Maria Lopes Lima is a Brazilian badminton player from Joca Claudino Esportes badminton club. She joined the Brazil national badminton team in 2016, and in 2017 she competed in the mixed team event at the 2017 Pan Am Badminton Championships where the team won silver medal. She won her first senior international title at the 2017 Brazil International Challenge tournament partnered with Sâmia Lima. Lima participated at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics, and was part of the team Theta won the bronze medal in the mixed team event. At the 2019 Lima Pan American Games, she won two bronze medals in the women's and mixed doubles events.
