Brian Reichle (born August 4, 1974), known professionally as Brian Redban or redban, is an American podcast producer, podcast host and comedian. He is the original producer and co-host of The Joe Rogan Experience , co-host of the Kill Tony podcast and founder of the Deathsquad podcast network, [1] [2] [3] the original publishing network of Your Mom's House podcast. [4] In 2023 he became the co-owner of the Sunset Strip Comedy Club alongside Anthony Hashem and Christina Alvarado. [5]

Early life

Redban was born in Columbus, Ohio. He was self-taught in video editing and was working at Gateway 2000 when Joe Rogan hired him to film, produce and edit videos full-time. [6] [7]

Career

Joe Rogan Experience

After producing videos for Doug Stanhope, and after receiving severance from the closure of the Gateway 2000 computer store where he was employed, Redban accepted an offer from Rogan to film him during comedy tours. His interest in live streaming services led him to expand his video production. [6] [7] [8] The Joe Rogan Experience launched on December 24, 2009, and Redban remained the sole producer until late 2013 when Jamie Vernon was hired to help with an increased number of podcasts. Vernon subsequently took over as the full time producer of the show. [9] [10] Redban has since been a guest on the show many times. [11] [12] [13] [14]

Redban filmed the confrontation between Carlos Mencia and Joe Rogan in 2007. [15] [16]

Deathsquad podcast network

The first episode of the Deathsquad podcast aired on August 1, 2009, and the first episode of Your Mom's House podcast was released November 24, 2010. [17] Redban also hosted the podcast entitled Icehouse Chronicles. [18] [19] Redban was a co-host of the Brode & Esther podcast alongside Esther Povitsky and the late Brody Stevens. [20] The first episode was released on October 7, 2011 [21] and there were seventeen episodes released. [22] [23]

Deathsquad Secret Show

Redban hosts the Deathsquad Secret Show, [24] a live comedy show featuring unannounced comedians. [25] [26] The pilot episode was released on December 8, 2012. [27]

Other appearances

In 2017, Redban appeared on an episode of the comedy game show @Midnight with Chris Hardwick. [28] In July 2018, Redban appeared on the two-day Skankfest event, hosted by the Legion of Skanks (Big Jay Oakerson, Dave Smith, and Luis J. Gomez). [29] He appeared again on Skankfest South in November 2021. [30] [31]

Sunset Strip Comedy Club

In early 2023, Redban was approached by Anthony Hashem as a prospective investor for the Sunset Strip Comedy Club in Austin, Texas. His interest was immediate, and the club soft-opened in April of that year with one of Redban's long-running Deathsquad Secret Shows. [26] [32]

<i>The Joe Rogan Experience</i> American podcast

The Joe Rogan Experience is a podcast hosted by American comedian, presenter, and UFC color commentator Joe Rogan. It launched on December 24, 2009, on YouTube by Rogan and comedian Brian Redban, who was its sole co-host and producer until 2012 when Jamie Vernon, who would eventually take over production, was hired to co-produce. By 2015, it was one of the world's most popular podcasts, regularly receiving millions of views per episode, also including a wide array of guests, including business magnate Elon Musk, whistleblower Edward Snowden, Senator Bernie Sanders, and astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. From December 2020 to February 2024, the podcast was exclusively available on Spotify, with highlights uploaded onto the main Joe Rogan Experience YouTube channel. The podcast was originally recorded at Rogan's home in California, before moving to a private studio in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. Joe Rogan Questions Everything is an American television series that premiered on SyFy in 2013. The series followed entertainer and stand-up comedian Joe Rogan, as well as co-host Duncan Trussell, as they investigated claims about paranormal and mysterious subjects like Bigfoot, psychic ability and UFOs. It was described as a "comedy/reality/debunking series" as well as a "visual podcast show", and was similar in content to Rogan's podcast: "if you've ever listened to Rogan's podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, you know the kind of stuff this show will be focusing on". The show's form was based on a presentation of the topic following up with interviews with experts and members of the public that claimed anecdotal evidence for the cases. Various field research trips were also done in an attempt to gather evidence. Through the series, Joe Rogan took the position of a skeptic, with the Mansfield News-Journal saying that he "brings a helpful blend — sometimes skeptical, often hopeful and open-minded". The show was loosely based on conversations and topics from the Joe Rogan Experience, with some video out-takes. Some topic presentations and general discussions were set in a podcast studio. <i>Your Moms House</i> Comedy podcast

Your Mom's House is a comedy podcast hosted by married comedians Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky. The podcast was started in 2010 and covers a wide range of topics such as ongoing events, comedy, and the daily life of the two co-hosts—interspersed with toilet humor, running jokes, and commentary on unusual or shocking internet videos. This includes creating "YMH Celebrities" by repeatedly playing videos of nicknamed, socially-untypical members of the public, in "a modern variation of the regular callers into The Howard Stern Show." The comedians typically stay away from political discussions, and the majority of their guests are fellow comedians. Additionally YMH Studios produces a number of podcasts on their network, including "2 Bears 1 Cave,""Dr. Drew After Dark," and "The Danny Brown Show." Starting in 2020, YMH studios began producing live pay-per-view events that can be rented on their website.
