Brianna Throssell OAM (born 10 February 1996) [2] is an Australian professional swimmer currently representing DC Trident at the International Swimming League.

Throssell competed in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, where she won seven bronze medals. [3] She represented her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro where she finished third in the semi-finals with a time of 2:07:19 behind Zhou Yilin and Zhang Yufei. She qualified for the final and finished last with a time of 2:07:87.[ citation needed ]

Throssell again represented Australia at the 2020 Summer Olympics, held in Tokyo in 2021, where she swam in the 100m and 200m butterfly events, coming in 8th place in the final of the 200m event. [4] She won a gold medal in the Women's 4 x 100 metre medley relay and a bronze medal in the Mixed 4 x 100 metre medley relay after swimming the butterfly leg in the heats for both events. [5] [6] She also won a bronze medal in the Women's 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay after swimming in the heats of that event. [4]

In the 2022 Australia Day Honours Throssell was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia. [7]

With four gold and three bronze medals she was the most decorated athlete across all sports at the 2020 Summer Olympics, and tied for the most medals won by a woman in a single Olympic Games. Taylor Madison Ruck is a Canadian competitive swimmer. She won two Olympic bronze medals as part of Canada's women's 4×100 metre and 4×200 metre freestyle relay teams at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Ruck won eight medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. Her eight medal performance of one gold, five silver, and two bronze tied her with three other athletes for the most all-time at a single Commonwealth Games, as well as making her the most decorated Canadian female athlete ever at a single Commonwealth Games. In 2019 and 2020, she competed representing the Cali Condors in the International Swimming League.

Freya Ann Alexandra Anderson is a British swimmer, known primarily for her achievements as a freestyle sprinter, especially as a relay swimmer for Great Britain. Anderson achieved nine relay gold medals at three editions of the European Championships, including 5 golds in a single meet at the 2020 European Championships in Budapest, as well as two bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. In July 2021, she won gold as part of the British team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in mixed 4 × 100 metre medley relay, swimming the freestyle anchor leg in the heat.

Shayna Jack is an Australian swimmer. She competed at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships, where she won two silver and two bronze medals in the relay events.

Thomas William Darnton Dean is a British competitive freestyle swimmer. He is a double Olympic gold medalist, winning gold individually in 200 metre freestyle and as part of a team in 4 × 200 m freestyle relay at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

As of July 2023 she is the world record holder in the women's individual 200m freestyle.

Lani Pallister is an Australian competitive swimmer. She is a world record holder in two sports, with a world record in swimming, the short course 4×200-metre freestyle relay, and world records in life saving for the youth age group in the 100-metre rescue medley and 200-metre super lifesaver. She holds the Oceanian, Commonwealth, and Australian records in the short course 1500-metre freestyle and the Australian record in the short course 800-metre freestyle. She is the first female World Short Course champion in the 1500-metre freestyle, winning the inaugural event for women at the 2022 edition. Over the course of the 2022 World Short Course Championships, she won the gold medal in each of the four events she contested.
