Butch Stearns is an American television and radio personality. He is a former sports anchor for WFXT and radio host for WEEI-FM, both located in Boston, Massachusetts.
Stearns' first job in television was as a producer for Bob Gamere on WLVI-TV's Sunday night Weekend Scoreboard. In 1992, Stearns moved to Minnesota where he worked for KAAL-TV and as a sports anchor and producer of weekday sportscasts. He also hosted The Point After, a 30-minute Sunday show, and a one-hour Friday night broadcast that covered high school teams. From 1994-1996, Stearns worked for Detroit's PASS Sports.
Stearns returned to Boston in 1996 as a sports reporter for WABU. At WABU he was the field reporter for Boston Red Sox games, a color commentator for college football games, and the host of the Emmy award winning 68 Sportsnight. In September 1999, Stearns joined WFXT as a sports reporter and weekend anchor. He was promoted to main sports anchor following Levan Reid's departure in 2001. In December 2004, Stearns made an appearance on the NFL on Fox as a sideline reporter for the New England Patriots week 17 matchup at Gillette Stadium against the San Francisco 49ers. On November 1, 2009, Stearns was notified that his contract with Fox 25 would not be renewed. [1]
Although he took a substantial pay cut, Stearns returned to Fox 25 in the fall of 2014 as a temporary replacement. [2]
Stearns also hosted New England Sports Network's New England Golfer in 1997.
Stearns' first radio experience came at WDFN in Detroit Michigan From July 1994 – January 1996 Stearns co-hosted The Morning Battery, first with former Major League pitcher Lary Sorensen and later with Detroit Free Press reporter Keith Gave.
After working as a part-time employee at WEEI, Stearns joined WNRB radio as the host of Patriots Monday and the radio play-by-play announcer for the New England Revolution. Stearns currently serves as the host of WEEI-FM's Saturday afternoon show.
In 2010, following the expiration of his contract with WFXT, Stearns began hosting the show Sports Buzz which airs on the online media website The Pulse Network. [3]
A native of Braintree, Massachusetts, Butch graduated from Stonehill College with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Sometimes he is affectionately referred to as "The Mayor of Braintree." He is married and has three daughters.

The Big Show is a former sports talk radio program hosted by Glenn Ordway on Boston's WEEI-FM 93.7 FM. Started in August 1995, the show was hosted by Ordway and former Boston Globe columnist Michael Holley. The show ended on March 19, 2013.
Glenn Ordway is an American sports radio and television personality based in the Boston, Massachusetts area. He is a former commentator for the Boston Celtics radio broadcasts. He hosted WEEI-FM's The Big Show until February 15, 2013. On March 17, 2014, he launched "The Big Show Unfiltered"; on SportstalkBoston.com. Ordway had broadcast on ESPN New Hampshire Radio Nashua/Manchester from June 2014 until May 2015 when he left The Big Show. Ordway then left ESPN NH unannounced to return to WEEI 10a-2p weekdays. Ordway is originally from Lynn, Massachusetts; he graduated from Lynn Classical High School. Ordway returned to WEEI as of September 8, 2015, as part of a midday show with Lou Merloni and Christian Fauria. The team was moved to the 2 PM to 6 PM drive-time slot several years later.
Planet Mikey was a sports talk radio program on Boston's WEEI-FM 93.7 FM featuring Mikey Adams. The show was officially announced on December 15, 2005 and ran from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays. In 2018, The Planet Mikey Podcast was created and is heard on iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify and Google Play. In February 2020, Planet Mikey debuted as an afternoon drive radio show on 100.1 FM The Pike in Worcester, MA.
Dennis and Callahan was an American morning radio show on WEEI-FM, a sports radio station in Boston, Massachusetts. On November 16, 2010, a live three-hour simulcast began airing on NESN at 6–10 AM Eastern time each weekday. The show combines talk of sports and politics, along with current or "water cooler" issues. The show premiered in 1997 with Callahan and former WHDH Sports Director John Dennis, and it received strong ratings until WEEI received ratings competition in 2009 with the launch of CBS Radio's sports station, WBZ-FM (98.5); ratings have since fallen from their peak.
Dale Everett Arnold is a New England sportscaster. He hosts Boston Bruins broadcasts on NESN and co-hosted talk radio shows on WEEI until his retirement from radio on March 12, 2021, announced the day before. He was the Bruins' play-by-play announcer on NESN and has called Boston College Eagles football. He is the only person to have done play-by-play broadcasts for all five of the Boston area's major professional sports franchises.
