CPR (also billed as Crosby, Pevar & Raymond) was a jazz-rock band consisting of singer-songwriter David Crosby (a founding member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young), session guitarist Jeff Pevar, and Crosby's son, keyboardist James Raymond.
The first song that Crosby and Raymond co-wrote, "Morrison", was performed live for the first time in January 1997. The song recalled Crosby's ambivalent feelings about the portrayal of Jim Morrison in Oliver Stone's The Doors (1991). The success of the band's initial 1997 tour spawned a studio album, CPR , which was released in March 1998. Following another studio album, Just Like Gravity, in 2001, and several successful tours, the group disbanded in 2004.
In addition to continuing to perform with his father as part of the touring bands for Crosby & Nash and Crosby, Stills & Nash, Raymond has served as musical director and session player for most of Crosby's ensuing solo output and related tours, including Croz (2014) and Sky Trails (2017). From 2004 to 2005, Pevar was a member of the Crosby, Stills & Nash touring band alongside Raymond. Pevar's only solo album to date (2012's From the Core) was recorded in the Oregon Caves National Monument.
In 2017, following session work on Sky Trails, Pevar and Raymond toured together once again with drummer Stevie DiStanislao, keyboardist/vocalist Michelle Willis, and bassist Mai Agan as Crosby's backing group, the tour credited to David Crosby & Friends. That same lineup toured again in 2019 as David Crosby & the Sky Trails Band. In 2020 both studio albums, CPR and Just Like Gravity, were reissued by the BMG label. In 2021, both live albums will be reissued as well.

Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN) was a folk rock supergroup made up of American singer-songwriters David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and English singer-songwriter Graham Nash. When joined by Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young as a fourth member, they were called Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY). They are noted for their intricate vocal harmonies and lasting influence on American music and culture, as well as their political activism and often tumultuous interpersonal relationships.
David Van Cortlandt Crosby was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He first found fame as a member of the Byrds, with whom he helped pioneer the genres of folk rock and psychedelia in the mid-1960s, and later as part of the supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash, who helped popularize the California sound of the 1970s. In addition to his music, Crosby was known for his outspoken personality, politics, and personal troubles; he was sometimes depicted as emblematic of the counterculture of the 1960s.
Looking Forward is the third and final studio album by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and their fifth, overall. It is the fourteenth and final album when combined with releases by the trio of Crosby, Stills & Nash. It was released on Reprise Records in 1999 and peaked at number 26 on the Billboard 200, with total sales nearing 400,000.
Graham Nash David Crosby is the first album by the partnership of David Crosby and Graham Nash, released on Atlantic Records in 1972, catalog SD 7220. It peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and a single taken from the album, "Immigration Man", peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 on June 17 and 24, 1972. It was certified gold by the RIAA, and it was dedicated to Joni Mitchell, as "to Miss Mitchell".
Michael Kelly Finnigan was an American keyboard player and vocalist, his speciality being the B3 Hammond organ. Working primarily as a freelance studio musician and touring player, he played with a wide variety of musicians in pop, rock, blues and jazz.
Crosby & Nash were a musical duo that maintained a separate career in addition to the solo endeavors of David Crosby and Graham Nash, and separate from the larger aggregate of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Crosby and Nash performed and recorded regularly during the 1970s, issuing five albums including three of original studio material. After the more or less permanent reformation of Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1976, the duo continued to play sporadic concerts from the 1980s through the second decade of the 21st century, issuing another studio album in 2004 and going on an extended concert tour in 2011.
Crosby & Nash is a double album by Crosby & Nash, released in 2004, the duo's fourth and final studio recording. It was the first studio album by the duo since Whistling Down the Wire 28 years earlier, and proved to be the final album of original material by any grouping of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in quartet, trio, or duo configuration. In 2006, a truncated version of this album appeared containing 13 of its tracks on one disc. The song "Michael " is in tribute to their friend, guitarist Michael Hedges, who died in 1997. The core band for the album includes James Raymond and Jeff Pevar from Crosby's CPR project, session musicians Leland Sklar and Russ Kunkel who played with Crosby and Nash in the 1970s, and guitarist Dean Parks. All tracks were recorded from January 12, 2004, through February 12, 2004, at Center Staging in Burbank, California and at Kazoo Studios in Kauai.

Wind on the Water is the second album by Crosby & Nash, released on ABC Records in 1975. Cassette and 8-track tape versions of the album were distributed by Atlantic Records, to which Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young were signed. It peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 album chart and was certified gold by the RIAA. Three singles were released from the album, "Carry Me", "Take the Money and Run", and "Love Work Out", of which only the first charted, peaking at No. 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
Whistling Down the Wire is the third album by Crosby & Nash, released on ABC Records in 1976, the second of the duo's three-album deal with ABC Records. Voyage is a 3-CD box set by David Crosby. It features highlights from his career as a solo artist and with groups including The Byrds, various permutations of CSN&Y, and CPR. The tracks are arranged in general chronological order of release. One full disc is devoted to previously unreleased material, mainly acoustic demos.
"Triad" is a song written by American singer-songwriter David Crosby in 1967 about a ménage à trois. It was recorded by the Byrds that year, while Crosby was a member of the band, but their version went unreleased at the time and was not issued until twenty years later. Jefferson Airplane released a version of the song in 1968 on their Crown of Creation album and a live version performed by Crosby was included on Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's 4 Way Street in 1971.
Jeff Pevar is an American musician who has recorded and toured with numerous renowned artists as well as having a solo career. Pevar recorded a debut record on his label Pet Peev Music™, called From The Core, which was released in December 2012. In 2015 Pevar released a CD, Grateful Jazz which he produced for the ensemble Jazz Is Dead which he performed a number of tours with.

Sky Trails is David Crosby's sixth solo album, released on September 29, 2017, by BMG Music. It is Crosby's third album in less than four years, whereas his first three solo albums appeared over a span of 22 years. Musicians on the album derive in part from Crosby's various 21st Century collaborations. Producer James Raymond and Jeff Pevar were Crosby's bandmates in CPR; Andrew Ford and Steve DiStanislao were respectively that band's touring bassist and drummer. Michael League of Snarky Puppy and Becca Stevens had appeared on Crosby's previous album, and Dean Parks had played on the 2004 album Crosby did with long-time partner Graham Nash.
Kim Bullard is an American keyboardist, songwriter, record producer, and film composer. He has been making music since the 1970s and has performed extensively as a keyboard player with musical acts such as Elton John and Crosby, Stills, & Nash.
Bill Halverson is an American record producer and engineer who worked on several critically acclaimed rock records of the 1960s and 1970s. He is most well known for working with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and their respective solo albums. His other engineering credits include Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, and Emmylou Harris.
