California's 60th State Assembly district is one of 80 California State Assembly districts. It is currently represented by Democrat Corey Jackson of Moreno Valley.
The district encompasses the northwestern corner of Riverside County, anchored by the city of Corona. The primarily suburban district is a major gateway between the rest of the Inland Empire and Orange County.

Old Hilltown, formerly Hill Town, is an unincorporated community in Monterey County, California. It is located on the north side of the Salinas River 3 miles (4.8 km) south-southwest of Salinas on California State Route 68, at an elevation of 46 feet, approximately two miles from Spreckels, California The name is from James Bryant Hill, one of the first settler in the area. The first European land exploration of Alta California, the Spanish Portolá expedition, camped on the Salinas River in this vicinity on September 30, 1769, having followed the river from the south for several days. From this camp, the scouts went out to survey the route ahead and saw Monterey Bay for the first time. Unsure whether the point they could see at the southern end of the bay was the "Point of Pines" described by Sebastian Vizcaino in 1602, Portola decided that the party should investigate.

Belltown is a neighborhood of Jurupa Valley, California within the County of Riverside. It was originally known as West Riverside, but their need for a separate identity to the nearby large city of Riverside, they voted to rename their town. It was an unincorporated community, until July 1, 2011, when it became part of the newly incorporated city of Jurupa Valley. It lies at an elevation of 840 feet.
The politics of Los Angeles County leans Democratic. Los Angeles County has voted Democratic in every Presidential election since 1988, with every Democratic nominee winning the county by a margin of at least 25 points since 1992. Los Angeles County has voted for the Democratic candidate in most of the presidential elections in the past four decades, although it did vote twice for Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, and Ronald Reagan, the latter two of whom were Californians. From 1920 to 1984 it could be considered as a reliable bellwether county which always voted for the eventual national winner. Los Angeles went against the overall national picture in 1988, 2000, 2004 and 2016.
