Cannae (pronounced KA-nigh) is an American metalcore band from Boston, Massachusetts. Their style mixes death metal, hardcore and thrash metal, [2] with a focus on dual guitar work (guitarist Alex Vieira was formerly with Capharnaum), heavy, double bass drumming and both growling and screaming vocals. They are currently signed to Prosthetic Records.

As of March 2016, the band consists of front-man and co-founder Chris "OJ" Ojeda, Brian Henderson (guitar), Matt Bowles (drums) and Ryan Postlethwait. The band has released three studio albums on Prosthetic Records along with two independent albums. Byzantine is known for its unique sound and modern, "forward thinking" musical style which explores different musical territories and song structures.

The Gathering is the eighth studio album by American thrash metal band Testament, released on June 8, 1999. It was the first release the band had done with Spitfire Records. Co-produced by band members, Chuck Billy and Eric Peterson, this was the first album featuring new musicians Steve DiGiorgio on bass guitar and Dave Lombardo on drums. Billy, Peterson and Lombardo, along with longtime Testament collaborator Del James, are also given composer credits on the album. It would also be the only Testament album for 23 years to feature Lombardo, who left the band right before the tour for The Gathering started and he would rejoin in 2022.

The album was the first studio album recorded with guitarist William Seghers and vocalist Alex Leblanc, who replaced Steven Henry and Ian Campbell respectively. In April 2009, the band released a music video for "Darkness Prevails". Neuraxis uploaded three videos of the recording sessions on their official YouTube channel.
