Carla Marinucci is an American journalist working as a political reporter for Politico . [1] Formerly of the San Francisco Chronicle , [2] she specializes in California state gubernatorial politics and national politics.[ citation needed ]

Education

Marinucci earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from San Jose State University. She also studied Latin American economics and history at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. [3]

Career

Marinucci is a veteran California political reporter and has also covered business and crime in the past for the Contra Costa Times [ citation needed ] and The San Francisco Examiner . [4] She has won more than two dozen national and state awards. [4] Marinucci has broken numerous national political news stories, including about California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. [2] She appears frequently on the PBS show This Week in Northern California and been a guest on Hardball with Chris Matthews . [5] She has provided political analysis on KQED-FM and was featured on the Ronn Owens Show on KGO. [6] [ citation needed ]

She received international attention in April 2011 after posting a video on the internet of Barack Obama saying US Army Private Chelsea Manning (then known as Bradley) "broke the law". Supporters of Manning accused Obama of jeopardizing Manning's chances of receiving a fair trial. Marinucci was punished [7] by the White House, which withdrew her privileges. Personal life

Marinucci is married to fellow Bay Area journalist Roland De Wolk and has two sons. [11]

The program primarily featured coverage of political issues and headlines, along with discussion from a panel of analysts and political figures.

The Big Brother image that she throws the sledgehammer at is replaced with Hillary Clinton announcing that she is running for president. It ends with the original text replaced with, "On Jan. 14, the Democratic primary will begin. And you'll see why 2008 won't be like 1984." The Apple symbol is a morphed into an "O", which is followed by a logo for Barack Obama's presidential campaign website. Barack Obama's presidential spokesman Bill Burton has said "Hillary 1984" was not created by the Obama campaign.

Chris Lehane American political consultant (born 1967)

Christopher Stephen Lehane is an American political consultant who has served as a lawyer, spokesperson and expert in opposition research for the Clinton White House, Democratic candidates for public office and various business, Labor, entertainment and professional sports organizations. A graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Law School, he was a lawyer and spokesperson in the Clinton White House where he and his current business partner Mark Fabiani were called the Masters of Disaster by Newsweek magazine for their part in a "rapid-response" team employed to respond to the increasing number of investigations of the Clinton Administration. In 2012, Lehane co-authored a book on damage control titled Masters of Disaster published by Palgrave, MacMillan's academic imprint.
