Cassville is an unincorporated community in Bartow County in the U.S. state of Georgia. It was originally the county seat before the name was changed from Cass County. The seat was moved to Cartersville after General Sherman destroyed Cassville in his Atlanta Campaign of 1864.

The National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) is the United States federal government's official list of districts, sites, buildings, structures and objects deemed worthy of preservation for their historical significance. A property listed in the National Register, or located within a National Register Historic District, may qualify for tax incentives derived from the total value of expenses incurred in preserving the property.

It is a gabled, frame one-story building, about 14 by 25 feet (4.3 m × 7.6 m) in plan, built on a field stone foundation. Its front has clapboard siding; its sides and rear have board-and-batten yellow pine siding. [2]

By 2014 it was a museum, the Cassville Museum. [3] The museum, operated by the Cassville Historical Society, has closed. [4]

Stonefield, located at 12195 County Road VV outside Cassville, Wisconsin, United States, was the 2,000-acre (800-hectare) estate of Wisconsin's first governor, Nelson Dewey. Much of the original estate has been separated into Nelson Dewey State Park and the Stonefield historic site, an expansive museum operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society. The historic site takes advantage of the large property by offering several different areas for visitors, including an early Wisconsin farmhouse, a re-created agricultural village built to resemble those common around 1900, and a reconstruction of Nelson Dewey's home. Stonefield is also home to the Wisconsin State Agricultural Museum, which features a large collection of antique farm equipment.

Buttolph–Williams House

The Buttolph–Williams House is a historic house museum at 249 Broad Street in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Built in 1711, it is one of the oldest surviving houses in the town. It is owned by Connecticut Landmarks, a historic preservation organization, and is open for regular tours between May and October. it was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1968 for its significance as an extremely well-preserved example of early colonial architecture.

Baranov Museum

The Baranov Museum is a history museum at 101 East Marine Way in Kodiak, Alaska. It is located in a National Historic Landmark building known as the Russian-American Magazin [sic] and the Erskine House, which also houses the office of the Kodiak Historical Society. Built c. 1810, the building is the oldest of four surviving building constructed by the Russians when Alaska was a Russian territory. The museum's collections and exhibits are focused on the history of the Kodiak Archipelago and the Aleutian Islands, with particular focus on the Russian and early American periods. The Old Post Office, also known as the Old Octagonal Post Office, is an historic octagon-shaped former U.S. post office building located on Main Street in Liberty, Maine. The town of Liberty boasts that the building, which was built in 1870, is "the only octagonal post office in the United States". The building, which "has all its original equipment" is now the home of the Liberty Historical Society, which opens it to the public on Saturdays during the summer. On June 19, 1973, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

West Ward School (Wakefield, Massachusetts)

The West Ward School is a historic school at 39 Prospect Street in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Built in 1847, it is the only surviving Greek Revival schoolhouse in the town. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. It is now maintained by the local historical society as a museum property.

The Grafton Post Office is a historic former post office building at 205 Main Street in Grafton, Vermont. Built in 1855 in the Greek Revival style, it was the town's post office for over 100 years, and served for a time thereafter as the local historical society museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. It is still owned by the historical society, but leased for commercial retail purposes.

Lenox Round Barn

The Lenox Round Barn is a historic building that is part of the Taylor County Historical Museum in Bedford, Iowa, United States. The true round barn was built somewhere between 1905 and 1907. The building measures 64 feet (20 m) in diameter and 55 feet (17 m) in height. It features white vertical siding, a large cupola, and a two-pitch roof. The barn was thought to have been designed and built by J.E. Cameron on his farm 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Lenox. It remained on the family's farm until 1996 when they donated it to the Taylor County Historical Society. The barn was moved to their museum grounds in May 1998. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1999. Its primary significance is its architectural value. Of primary interest are the steep-pitched free-standing roof, the tornado-resistant support beams, and the pieshaped circular grain bins.

Old Tavern (Burlington, Maine)

The Old Tavern is a historic travelers' accommodation at Maine State Route 188 and Long Ridge Road in Burlington, Maine. Built in 1844, it predominantly catered to the lumbermen working on logging drives in the region. The building was acquired by the local historical society in 1984, and is now a local history museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Cassville Crossroads Historic District historic district in Jackson Township, Ocean County, New Jersey

The Cassville Crossroads Historic District is a historic district located in the community of Cassville, at the junction of CR 571 and CR 528, in Jackson Township, Ocean County, New Jersey. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 26, 1982 for its significance in agriculture, architecture, art, commerce and religion. It includes nine contributing buildings and one contributing structure.
