Castaway Paradise is a social simulation game created by Dutch indie studio Stolen Couch Games, it launched on Facebook in 2014, iOS on July 2, 2015, Android on January 9, 2015 [1] and on Steam on May 19, 2015. [2] It was released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on July 31, 2018. [3] [4] [5] On February 1, 2021, rokaplay GmbH announced that it will release for Nintendo Switch on April 29, 2021. [6]

Gameplay

Just like Animal Crossing , Castaway Paradise follows the player helping the resident animals getting the island into better shape, by repairing its buildings and bridges, and clearing rocks and weeds. The player can do other tasks in the game, such as catching bugs, fish, collecting sea shells, and garbage that washes onshore, all of which can be sold for in-game currency. Players are also able to grow their own flowers and fruit trees, farm their own crops, decorate the island and their home, and decide what their character wears. Villagers will set quests for the player, and there is roster of tasks to do that changes several times a day, through which the player can gain experience points. There are special events and items for sale on specific days, such as holidays. [7]

There are a total of seven downloadable content packs available, including free theme packs based on "China", [14] "Soccer", [15] "Ranger", [16] "Boutique", [17] and "Hospital", [18] as well as a theme pack based on the Awesomenauts game [19] and a content pack that adds a new NPC named Stevie. [20]

Reviews

The PC version of Castaway Paradise received positive reviews. Gamezebo gave the iOS version a 3.5/5, citing an "endless amount of quests, collectibles, and gameplay even if you don't spend a dime." [21] Steam was critically positive with 126 positive and 5 negative reviews. [2] The PlayStation 4 version of the game received mixed reviews, ranging from 85/100 from PSU to 50/100 from The Sixth Axis. [4] [22] It currently has a metascore of 68. [23]

<i>Five Nights at Freddys 2</i> 2014 video game

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is a 2014 point-and-click survival horror game developed and published by Scott Cawthon. It is the second installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Set in a fictional pizzeria, the player takes on the role of a night security guard and must defend themselves from the restaurant's hostile animatronic mascots. The player cannot leave their office, but has access to security cameras throughout the restaurant to monitor animatronic activity. Wearing a mask that looks like one of the animatronics allows the player to avoid being detected in most cases, though some animatronics are repelled through other methods. If an animatronic enters the office and the player is detected, they will be killed. As the game progresses, Atari-styled minigames and phone calls provide insight into the history of the restaurant.

<i>Woah Dave!</i> 2014 video game

Woah Dave! is a platform video game developed and published by MiniVisions for iOS, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. The game was released on iOS, Windows, and Nintendo 3DS on October 30, 2014. It was released for the PlayStation Vita on January 6, 2015. A PlayStation 4 version was released on March 31, 2015. Said PS4 version of Woah Dave! was released with two new levels, six new characters, boss battles, new enemy types, UFOs players can hitch a ride on, other hidden Easter eggs and the ability to play the original version of the game. The added features were patched onto Woah Dave! on all of the platforms it was released on.

Nekopara, taglined Cats Paradise, is a series of adult visual novels developed by NEKO WORKs and published by Sekai Project. The first game in the series, Nekopara Vol. 1, was released in December 2014. Taking place in a world where humans live alongside catgirls. The series follows Kashou Minaduki and Shigure Minaduki, siblings who have a family of catgirls named Chocola, Vanilla, Coconut, Azuki, Maple, Cinnamon and Cacao. It is centered around work life at Kashou's pâtisserie and home life at Shigure's family house.

The game was initially released for Microsoft Windows on April 9, 2015 and was later released for Wii U on October 20, 2016, for Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2021 and later for IOS, macOS and SteamOS + Linux. The game received mixed reviews. Some of the negative points mentioned were the exaggerated ease of quests and the short duration of the game.
