Chad Senior (born December 27, 1974) is an American Olympic modern pentathlete.
Senior grew up in Fort Myers, Florida, and graduated from North Fort Myers High School. During each year at North Fort Myers High School he earned varsity letters in track, cross country and swimming. He was one of the top athletes in southwest Florida and earned many awards and accolades. [1]
Senior graduated from high school in 1993 and went on to attend The George Washington University in Washington, DC, on a full swimming scholarship. He holds school records for the 1,000 Freestyle with a time of 9:20.20 in 1993, and the 1,650 Freestyle with a time of 15:36.48 in 1997.
Senior graduated in 1997 and joined the United States Army's Elite Athlete program so that he could train for the Olympics. He chose to compete in the modern pentathlon. He competed in many international competitions for several years before his Olympic debut. [1]
His first major achievement occurred in 1999, when he won the Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Championship team event as a member of the U.S. Army team. [2] Also in 1999, he won the first Biathle World Championship (run-swim-run).
In 2000, Senior entered the 2000 World Championships ranked Number 1 in the world. Although his U.S. men's team won two gold medals in relay and team, he finished a disappointing 15th in individual competition. That same year, Senior had first, third and fourth place finishes at World Cup events. [4]
Senior competed in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He finished 6th in 2000, and 13th in 2004.
As of 2018, Senior serves as a Lt Col in the U.S. Air Force, specifically a Combat Rescue Officer – a specialist who goes into "austere and non-permissive environments" to save downed air crew members. He is a member of the 920th Rescue Wing and has served two tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq.

Michael Steward Heath is an American former competition swimmer who specialized in freestyle events. He is a three-time Olympic gold medalist, and a former world record-holder in two relay swimming events. A native of Texas, he won two national collegiate championship competing for the University of Florida. During his elite swimming career, Heath won ten medals in major international championships, including seven golds, two silvers and a bronze, spanning the Olympic Games, FINA World Championships, and Pan Pacific Championships.
Maritza Correia, also known by her married name Maritza McClendon, is a former Olympic swimmer from Puerto Rico who swam representing the United States. When she qualified for the U.S. Olympic team in 2004, she became the first Puerto Rican of African descent to be a member of the U.S. Olympic swimming team. She was the first female African-American swimmer for the United States to win an Olympic medal. She also became the first black American swimmer to set an American and world swimming record.
Dara Grace Torres is an American former competitive swimmer, who is a 12-time Olympic medalist and former world record-holder in three events. Torres is the first swimmer to represent the United States in five Olympic Games, and at age 41, the oldest swimmer to earn a place on the U.S. Olympic team. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, she competed in the 50-meter freestyle, 4×100-meter medley relay, and 4×100-meter freestyle relay, and won silver medals in all three events.
Sheila Christine Taormina is an American former athlete who competed at four Olympics, and was the first woman to qualify for the Olympics in three different sports. At the 1996 Summer Olympics, she earned a gold medal as a member of the winning U.S. team in the women's 4×200-meter freestyle relay. She was inducted in 2009 into the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame, and in 2015 into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.
Malin Therese Alshammar is a Swedish swimmer who has won three Olympic medals, 25 World Championship medals, and 43 European Championship medals. She is a specialist in short distances races in freestyle and butterfly. She is coached by former Swedish swimmer Johan Wallberg. She is the first female swimmer and the third overall to participate in six Olympic Games.
Kathryn Elise Hoff is a former American competitive swimmer, she is an Olympic medalist, and former world record-holder. Hoff was known for her success in the 200-meter and 400-meter individual medley. She represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics, in which she was awarded a silver medal and two bronze medals.
Jeremy Porter Linn is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic medalist, world record-holder and current swim coach. Linn set an American record in the 100-meter breaststroke while winning the silver medal in that event at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, in a time of 1:00.77. With a burst of speed in the final stretch, he finished just .12 seconds behind the gold medal winner from Belgium who had previously set the World Record.

Nicholas Lloyd Woodbridge is a British modern pentathlete. The modern pentathlon includes the disciplines of shooting, swimming, fencing, equestrian, and cross country running. Woodbridge competed for Great Britain at the 2008 Summer Olympics, in Beijing, China, and finished 25th in the men's modern pentathlon. He also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics. where he finished in 10th place despite being ranked 3rd in the world. In 2013 he achieved his best career result when he took the silver medal in the World Championships.

Alfred Guth was an Austrian water polo player, swimmer, and modern pentathlete. At the 1932 Maccabiah Games in Mandatory Palestine, in swimming he won a gold medal and two silver medals. He competed at the 1936 Summer Olympics, coming in 33rd in modern pentathlon. A Holocaust survivor, he emigrated to the United States after WWII, competed in Masters swimming, and established 41 U.S. Masters Swimming age-group records.
Penelope Oleksiak is a Canadian competitive swimmer. Her country's most decorated Olympian, Oleksiak rose to fame during the 2016 Summer Olympics, where she became the first Canadian to win four medals in the same Summer Games, and the country's youngest Olympic champion with her gold medal win in the 100 m freestyle. She was the first athlete born in the 2000s to claim an Olympic gold medal in an individual event. Kieran Smith is an American swimmer specializing in freestyle and individual medley events. He currently co-holds short course world records in the 4×200 meter freestyle relay and the 4×100 meter medley relay. He is the Americas record holder in the long course 400 meter freestyle and the American record holder in the 500 yard freestyle. In the 400 meter freestyle, he won the bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics and the gold medal at the 2022 World Short Course Championships. Following a fourth-place finish in the 4×200 meter freestyle relay at the 2020 Summer Olympics, he won gold medals in the event at the 2021 World Short Course Championships, 2022 World Aquatics Championships, and the 2022 World Short Course Championships.
