Nishat Mazumdar became the first Bangladeshi woman to scale Mount Everest, with the help of three Sherpas - Lakpa Sherpa, Pemba Dorje Sherpa, Mingma Sherpa and a bigger team led by another Bangladeshi mountaineer M. A. Muhit. She reached the northern side of the mountain with the team on 19 May 2012, six days after which internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi mountaineer Wasfia Nazreen reached the summit from Nepal side independently.

Band Lalon is a Bengali folk, rock and fusion music band origin from Khulna, Bangladesh. The band was formed in Khulna in 2001 and mostly influenced by Fakir Lalon Shah.
Milton Khondokar is a Bangladeshi film lyricist, music director and film director. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Lyrics for the film Khodar Pore Ma (2012).
Swatta is a 2017 Bangladeshi romantic tragedy film. The film directed by Hashibur Reza Kallol and produced by Sohani Hossain under the banner of Taranga Entertainment. Debottam Majumdar is a Bengali television actor. He started his career in acting by performing in Bengali soap opera series Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti. He is well known for playing the male lead role of Shona babu as the protagonist in Keya Patar Nouko.
