Chandra Sekhar Yeleti (born 4 March 1973) is an Indian film director known for his works in Telugu cinema. [1] He made his directorial debut with the Neo-noir crime film, Aithe , which received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu, and the Nandi Award for Best Story for that year. [2] Another neo-noir film Anukokunda Oka Roju garnered two State Nandi Awards, including Best Screenplay for Yeleti. [3] [4]

Early life

He was born in Tuni on 4 March 1973. [5] He studied in Ganavaram St.Johns until 10th grade.

Career

He worked as an assistant Director under his cousin Gangaraju Gunnam for Little Soldiers . He had directed the first 10 episodes of Amrutham TV series. [5]

After working as an assistant director, Chandra Sekhar Yeleti made his debut with a small budget film titled "Aithe". That film was made on a budget of about 1.5 crores and performed well commercially, with a box office of collection of 6 crore rupees. After almost two years he made his next film "Anukokunda Oka Roju". Both the films were produced by Gunnam Gangaraju & Venkat Dega. After a gap of two years, he directed his third film with Gopichand as the protagonist, titled "Okkadunnadu". [4] In 2009, Yeleti directed his fourth film "Prayanam" with Manchu Manoj as the lead actor. After four years, Yeleti teamed again with Gopichand with an adventure movie Sahasam.

In October 2015, Yeleti met Mohanlal and narrated a family subject to him. The plot was green-lit by Mohanlal, and Yeleti started production work for the Telugu drama thriller, titled Manamantha with an ensemble supporting cast including Gautami, Viswant Duddumpudi, Nassar, Chandra Mohan, Vennela Kishore, Gollapudi Maruti Rao, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Brahmaji, L. B. Sriram, and Ayappa P. Sharma. The movie received positive reviews from both critics and audience upon release on 5 August 2016.

It stars several debutants including Mohit Chadda, Shashank, Abhishek, Janardhan, and Sindhu Tolani, while Pavan Malhotra plays a pivotal role. The film deals with underworld criminal nexus and hijacking. The film was shot simultaneously in Hindi as 50 Lakh (2007).

Mohit is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil films. His first Telugu film Aithe won the National Film Award for the Best Telugu Feature Film. The next year, he starred in the thriller film Aithe Enti (2004). He was seen in the 2010 films Dulha Mil Gaya and Do Dooni Chaar although his role in the latter was shortened. He was also adjudged first runner-up on Zee TV's reality show Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj in 2004. In 2021, he played a lead role in Flight (2021).

Inturi Srinivasa Rao, better known as Vasu Inturi, is an Indian actor and writer who works in Telugu films and television. He is known for the role of Sarvam in the TV sitcom Amrutham, which won him Nandi TV Award for Best Comedian in 2007. Inturi also worked as an assistant director and director on the series and wrote some episodes. Later, he wrote and directed the TV series Gangatho Rambabu. It stars Mohanlal, Gautami, Viswant Duddumpudi, and Raina Rao and also marks the former's Telugu debut after a guest appearance in the 1994 Telugu film Gandeevam. The music was composed by Mahesh Shankar with cinematography by Rahul Shrivatsav and editing by G. V. Chandra Sekhar. Amrutham was an Indian Telugu-language television sitcom created and produced by Gunnam Gangaraju. It originally aired on Gemini TV for six years from 18 November 2001 to 18 November 2007 in 313 episodes. It is widely regarded as the greatest Telugu comedy TV series of all time. Most of the episodes were written by Gunnam Gangaraju along with Vasu Inturi who also played the character of Sarvam. Amrutham is especially noted for its clean, family-friendly humour and its satirical takes on everyday issues. The topics of satire are diverse — soap operas, popular films, competitive exams, superstitions, game shows, contemporary politics, current affairs etc.
